Event of the story: When the ottoman's army went for the tribute on Vlad's castle path, right at the entrance of the forest, they could smell the rotting flesh from the impalled corpses, crows feeding on them, some of them were still alive being impalled and still screaming for help and begging for mercy, or just to put an end to their suffering, but here's what they made ottomans fear more, there weren't only ottoman citizens impalled there, but also romanians, thieves, rappers, liars, all of them impalled, also the strong rotting flesh in the forests all the way to the castle was unbearable and impossible to resist, that creates the most haunting nightmares becoming true in front of your eyes, this psychology of Vlad was a masterpiece that even to this day, not all the people know about it, only the legend of him being a vampire, yes, he was bloodthirsty, but bloodthirsty for justifice and trust, If you show him you're just, disciplined and you don't lie in front of him, I trully believe he will show you some mercy on your soul and you will live another day...watching the impalled corpses and thanking God your not one of them impalled there
To the Romanians, he is a hero. To the Ottomans, he is evil incarnate. And to everyone else, he's an enigma. One thing I think everyone can agree on about old Vlad, is he knew how to instill true terror into his enemies.
Funny that the ottomans would see him like that seeing as they'd do the same things & worse to countless Balkan peoples and nations, he learned well from them for sure.
" it is no laughing matter. We Draculas have a right to be proud! " - Gary Oldman Bram Stokers Dracula. This may sound silly to many, however, if Vampires were real, I would gladly offer my jugular.
Does it still?;-) I visited Transylvania in 2015, cool experience. But in the Carpathians, unfortunately, I saw only winter sports tourists instead of wolves and bears.
@@restforthewicked6842 You'll be happy to know that the police are looking for a lion roaming around in Targoviste. They searched for him all day yesterday with drones and everything. On a more serious note, there are many wolves and bears and wild boars.Look this up ''Skiing with the bear on the slope - 9 Martie 2021, Partia Cocosul Predeal Romania, by Mister Fox''
Amazing ambience tracks, I am really glad I found this channel. I can tell, this is quality here. Most of YT is filled with repetitive and not really balanced ambient darkness mixes, here I feel thrills, darkness vibes, mystery, sound quality at it's peak, amazing tracks and composition with themes. Even a small bit of history in description. I subscribed. Thank You @Rest for the Wicked for this content, I believe this channel will grow a lot lot more with time, people who will find this channel like me will definetely like this content.
I'm playing a sort of "space" version of the Medieval Balkans with Stellaris. Between alien khanates and human empires, with dark and grim mysteries, this is gonna make it all more immersive.
end of the playlist. 15 more tracks listened to. i tried to thumb up every one, i might of missed some. really great listening experience. there was no part of the playlist that i did not like.
I understand why he’s considered a hero to the Romanians. But I’m afraid that to my mind, there are some means that even the best ends can’t justify, and they include some of the means employed by Vlad the Impaler.
He wasn't a "Slavic commander", but a Wallachian/Romanian prince. The composition is absolutely spectacular and as a Romanian I thank you for putting the effort into it, but that sentence is factually and historically wrong and quite insulting. I'd be thankful if you'd change it.
