*Fun Fact of the Day:* In the Lore, it is said when Vlad appears he has a painting of himself painted by a person, changes the history in some way and disappears for centuries again just to repeat this cycle. And recently in on the lore stories he reemerged had a painting of himself done and currently, he resides in his mansion and that's how it leads up to LOR - LOR story/art/card descriptions are current LOR and whats happening in the world. So Vladimir is brewing something huge and we just need to wait...

Lore Time :D Swain is the Noxian General, so he pretty much leads the entire military, while Vladimir is only the leader of his followers, just living in Noxus. He is ancient and comes out of hiding rarely and changes history in some way whenever he does so.

Just to clarify--the 3rd leader, the leader of Guile of the Trifarix, is actually not Leblanc. It's the 'Faceless', whom the developers confirmed that wasn't LB.

Gotta admit it's fun to see you learn about the lore, heh. Swain is the Grand General, which equals Supreme Leader in Noxus. Darius is known as "The hand of Noxus" since he's a famed high-ranked soldier who gets stuff done pretty much always. Vladimir is just part of the Noxian aristocracy. There's also LeBlanc (the one in the "Guile" card) who could be described as the puppet master, she's the one who got Swain to his position as Grand General, and Elise into her "shape-shifting spider queen" self. In the lore, it's also not clear who she really is since her name shows up numerous times across Noxian history.

Deck concept: There is this new deck going around that I think is really fun and would like you to try, It's a Bilgewater-Demacia deck that uses tons of kegs and runs unyielding spirit. You unyielding spirit the keg and then it stacks which allows you to permanently increase all spell damage, with this you can finish the game with riptide rex and double up, along with Miss Fortune and Gankplank.

A correction Mogwai, the three rulers of Noxus are Swain as the Vision, Darius as the Might, and "The Faceless" as the Guile. Leblanc is not the Guile, despite what guile card in LoR shows. And they are technically equal in power, in terms of their influence upon Noxus. Trifarix was also brought by Swain to prevent a supreme ruler going crazy/rogue/mad by having 3 rulers instead. If one were to get corrupted, the other two will stop the revolting one.

If you're looking for a strong earlyish mid-game presence to pair with the self-damage Noxus archetype, the self-damage/buffing archetype of Freljord works very well. Freljord helps minions stick with their small and large buffs. This mix is weak to hard-removal and certain mid-range decks; otherwise, it fairs well in the meta. You can often get a 10 attack minion down on turn 5. This pairs well with cards like Might.

When enemy uses single combat it is also leveling up your swain. A little weird but also makes sense.

"Demacia and Noxus is not a very popular combination" so they stayed true to the lore nice

I really love the deck and had a crazy winrate from d3-masters, only dropping 5/6 games in total and not dropping a single game in D1. Keep up the amazing content and deckbuilding man, Cheers!

Vladimir is in a secret council(kabal ) lead by Le'Blanc. Swain and Le'Blanc are actually rivals, despite ruling Noxus along with Darius.

I've been running a Vlad/Swain deck myself for a fair bit now, so glad Vlad got buffed! The deck I use is fairly different, might have to check out your variant since I like some of the additions. Single Combat, Brightsteel Protector and Noxian Fervor were cards I never really considered adding before! But now maybe I will!

In the lore The Leviathan was basically Noxus' flagship and Swain's favorite ship. When they sailed to close to Bilgewater, Gangplank took the ship. So Gangplank's the reason why Noxus doesn't "expand" towards Bilgewater.

This is awesome man, Vlad is meta lol. I copied a Vlad + Swain from another RU-vidr that's similar or maybe same as this. But I'm still learning how to play it, your video helped me to understand how to play it better and imma use your deck now instead so thank you. Make a hecarim ephiramel decks next. :)

He didn't use the Vlad buff once in all his games. I don't know if thats saying something about the deck not leveling him fast enough or that the buff was useless but the only time he ever even attacked with a leveled Vlad was in the last match where he won off the damage so the lifesteal couldn't possibly make any difference..

You got it right the first time trifarix. Vlad isn't really their opposition just a lord that doesn't go out into the public much because of how ancient he is and when he does it's only when big things are going on before disappearing from history again so no one remembers him. He's basically chaotic neutral and did help leblanc fund her cult the Black rose which members include Elise and yet to be released and won't be released til shurima expansion cause of lore reason Cassiopeia. Who are basically a shadow magic cult of Noxus that have manipulated Noxus from the background.

You can take advantage of Vladimir with Crimson Aristocrat on his level form. Regeneration and his attack up is great! If with Kato, he will also gain more attack and also Overwhelm. It doesn't matter if he takes damage because of Regeneration. Then you can take advantage of Take Heart to gain more health and also Elixer of Iron. He becomes a heavy hitter. Even though I don't use those cards in my deck. It is extremely useful. 👍 Edit: I have Might and the crimson big boy to create Aristocrats. 👍

The card that makes Swain easy to level up is Noxian Fervor. One use of that card is equal to 6 non-combat damage. That's half of Swain's requirement.

Fun Fact: Vladimir is a prince who was shipped to the darkin and learned the darkin magic (blood magic). As you might have guessed, he is very old because he drains blood from life. In the League of Legends universe Vladimir stepped into the public everytime something great and impactfull happened. Due to current story he is in fact in the public once again so there is something big comming (maybe this summer; connecting runeterra and actual league of legends)

I wanted to play a little more with the Monkey Idols. I tried to pair Bilgewater and Ionia in order to get the ability to recall the Monkey Idol before it kills itself off. Between that and giving him some bonus health, it should be possible to keep that consistent damage per round to the enemy's nexus. I would share my deck, but I'm definitely not as good at building decks, so I'm sure you could come up with something better with the concept alone. I think you should look into it.

Had 1 point on my nexus. Had the Leviathin, Swain, and Vladimir and a Trifarian soldier. Ended up winning by the combo of stuns and damage from both hero’s and the Leviathin. Talk about clutch

That Fj/ Nox Darius deck was interesting. Almost like LoR's version of a zoo deck.

Lore nerd on duty! Tldr: it may or may not actually be LeBlanc. it's still somewhat unclear who the third ruler is alongside Swain and Darius. All signs point to LeBlanc, but not only is Swain kind of explicitly against her faction and also the guy who set up the trio in the first place but also a narrative team Rioter confirmed at one point it isn't her. Who knows.

I feel like Garen would have been more synergistic than Swain for the same reason. Single Combat contributes to his level up. Plus the constant rally will be like the Pursuit you added for Vlad. Hes also very unkillable with armor and wouldnt be as negatively affected by Vlad as Swain is (takes damage with him and might stop from getting Nexus Strike). Regen is also a great keyword which lets you use Noxian spells on him well.

Hey Mogwai, I really love your streams and your compilations in videos. I would like you to make an approach to a concept I am using in ladder and it's making me win a lot. It isn't a really usual combination, like today's one: Demacia and Noxus... I built around a card I really think it's the most underrated one from the BW expansion card: Concerted strikes. The idea is using Draven and Garen (also radiant guardian) along withering will and single combat. With concerted strikes you are able to remove a really tough body and also lvl up Garen and Draven at the same time. It also enables you to heal from the radiant guardian (EVEN IF THE ENEMY DIED IN THE FIRST IMPACT OF THE CONCERTED STRIKES). It also dealed really well against agro burn, because of the presence of Draven as well as Radian Guardian, with a strong early game presence and also the possibility of healing your nexus with Radiant Guardian more than once per turn. Trust me, Concerted strikes is a really nice hard removal and this strategy is tons of fun. Greetings from Jerez de la Frontera, my neighboor.

I've talked with so many spanish people in english (i live in spain btw) and i have never heard anyone speak english as good as you do. Are you actually from brazil or something, or raised bilingual? Leblanc isn't the third person in the trifarix the third guy is actually faceless whose identity hasn't revealed yet. Leblanc sucks noxus a lot by using the old emperor and swain takes his throne and he has a great future perspective so he assembles trifarix. If leblanc was in trifarix there would be so much chaos resulting even with the demise of noxus since they dont get along well. Vladimir is not on the opposing side on the contrary he hides in his house and just shows up when the world is seeing big events.

ive borrowed this deck, but ive swapped darius for swain, i feel it make smore sense and is easier to get the upgrade. also fits my play style a bit better. thank you for the deck though.
