Sucks to hear the knee isn't healing as fast as you want it to. In due time though. ;-) I can't get into the Walking Dead. I tried to watch it once and just couldn't get into it. How cool the cat has trained himself to go outside! Sometimes I wish my cats would do that, LOL!! Dealing with insurance after an accident is a nightmare. I've only had to do it once and hope that's it! I was hoping you'd been knitting and show off some projects. I got myself a sock machine and am anxious to use it but it needs a lil help. It's old (1924) but it's hardly been used and been stored not so nicely but it was a deal I couldn't pass up, LOL!! I need another project like I need another hole in my head but you only live once...
+Crouton Crackerjacks I didn't watch the Walking Dead when it first came out. i started on it when it was available on Netflix & caught up. everyone was talking about it so i had to see what all the buzz was about, then i got hooked. i bet your sock machine will be very cool to use. they don't make them like those old ones anymore. i got my sock loom out to start on a pair a while back, but never did more than cast on. maybe as it gets colder i will & some people at my sister's job want fingerless mittens so i have to get started on something soon. thanks for watching :-)
I am unhappy for you and your knee. When you select to have surgery to correct a knee that is hurting you, you expect to find relief. I hope it continues to get better!! AND doesn't take two years! Pat and I are re-watching The West Wing - I've never seen the Walking Dead! Maybe we should try it! Today, our outside temperature is 76 F. It is unheard of! We're breaking records! The girl across the way just came home - she's wearing tank top and shorts. All our windows are open and the breeze is lovely! PLUS, we've already had snow two weeks ago! +popparoc46 Thanks Roc, most of the time i don't have much pain in the new knee, but it doesn't work like i want it to. i need more bend. it feels tight. I don't think i ever watched The West Wing. Maybe i'll put that on my watchlist. I don't know what the temp was today, but it was probably about 76 F. Thank God we haven't had snow yet. i really hate snow. Is that the same girl that was running around in a bikini a while back? i did wear capris & a t-shirt today. it's now almost 11 pm and still 66 F & I still have windows open. I will try to be back before so long next time :-)
Hah!! Not the same girl in the bikini - there are all new girls in there now! I suspect the reason I have liked The West Wing so much is because they behave the way I would wish politicians should behave. They care about the people. We have a newly elected Liberal government here (they were sworn in yesterday) (Liberal = Democrat!) and I am hoping our new Prime Minister will behave like the President Bartlett on The West wing! It is old - first ran in 1999 - and the dialogue is clever, intelligent, snappy and the way I wish I could talk! In my opinion, it is "good TV"! It is nothing like the current political TV show 'Scandal' which I think is disgusting. So, try The West Wing!
So good to see you Gail and hear how you are doing. I'm sorry your knee isn't living up to your expectations. I sure hope it doesn't take a full 2 years to finally feel good. My husband watches Walking Dead.. I have never really watched it.. My cats like to go in and out too.. They don't stay out all night though.. I just call them in like I do my dog and they come running.. :)) Wow, glad your sister and niece weren't hurt when they hit that deer.. Getting cars fixed, like everything else, seems to take forever these days.. :( Don't stay away so long.. Great to see you!!
+mysteryglo Thanks Judy. i notice sometimes that my knee seems to be making progress, but in the grand scheme of things, it's just frustrating to have it take so long. i've debated about going ahead with the 2nd replacement because it hurts every day.but then i'd have to go out in the snow with a walker or cane for PT & that scares me. Jack doesn't stay out all night, but Puff only wants to go out at night. My nephew jokes that he is not a boy, but a girl in heat all the time! My sister & niece were very lucky. i'll try to be back sooner :-)
So good to see you Gail!! I hate that your knee is not 100 percent. That sucks! I hope it doesn't take 2 years to get it right! I don't watch the Walking Dead. I don't understand TV shows like that. UGH! haha. So happy your sister and niece were okay. My sister and her husband have hit deer 3 times!!!!! It's messed up there van but they never have gotten hurt. Thank God! +imperceptibleme Thanks Melissa, i hate it too, but there's nothing i can do except keep exercising. The Walking Dead is a bit different than what i usually choose to watch, but i got hooked in the 2nd season. My sister & niece were very lucky because they were probably going between 55 & 65 when they hit that deer. i've hit deer 3 times too! now i think i have a sort of 6th sense about them while i'm driving. i haven't turned the A/C back on in the house, but the window are open & i did use the AC in the car the past few days. I am really hoping that your knee gets better. Have you considered seeing another orthopedist and/or physical therapist? I know that in some cases it is a time thing, but it seems like it has been long enough. I have to admit I liked that episode of Morgan's back story. I also like not knowing what is up with the others. I don't think Glenn is dead. Are the cats fixed? It may be the reason why he wants out each night. Just a guess.
+CookingAndCrafting I am working with a personal trainer & his wife had the same knee surgery & she is 18 months out & just feeling like her knee is back to normal so I guess it really is a time thing. with TWD i guess i don't like the suspense regarding the others. all our pets are fixed. Puff is a hunter & went out last evening & brought a "treat" home to us! i know your life is super busy, so i appreciate you taking the time to watch this video :-)
Good to see you!! I'm sorry to hear about your knee taking so long to feel better and the funk you are in. I'm in a bit of a funk myself, so I understand. Kudos to you for even considering hosting for Thanksgiving. The thought of it gives me terrible anxiety, so I doubt that will ever happen here. Things will be different this year since my Dad is gone. I'm not looking forward to the holidays at all. Very nice to see you, my friend.

I too have anxiety, but with my nephew & his daughter's help i felt like i could do the Thanksgiving deal. Well that & my anxiety manifests differently than yours i think.
