Grandma! When I saw this I got really excited! I absolutely adore your new pad, it's beautiful! Your son and daughter-in-law are absolute gems. I loved this video so much! The amount of wonderful memorabilia you have been sent by fans is staggering and everything is laid out so nicely. Your cool computer belongs in a space like your office, i love the layout. The pillows look cool displayed like that, very clever idea. :D Your corner shelves are just the right size for your goodies! Having a big patio just off the kitchen must be so nice, love the white double sink, too! Your quilts really make your bedroom special, it's so cozy. I had no idea that you paint, those paintings you showed us are fantastic, Grandma, you are just so creative! Having your own laundry machines is awesome, it makes that chore much easier! Lovely bathroom, the tile work looks great! The trickling water over the stones is a welcoming home for the little frog! It's a wonderful place, Grandma! My home is like an Oriental asian museum from different parts of Asia. I am so impressed with your meticulous decorating. I inherited all the old family quilts too. Louigi!! IS that a Yorkie? I absolutely love them! I had a "Schnauzer." 2 dauchounds. when I was 18 I received the weenie dogs.. a boy and a girl, brother and sister. Buddy and Rosie. The mothers name was Rosebud. Mornin/afternoon Grandma Shirley! I loved the cinematography of the house tour video, thanks to your son! 👏🏻 Your home is a blessing to view. So clean and open and uncluttered, whilst having sweet, meaningful decorations and art. That quilt made for you by your grandmother to have upon your birth is so welcoming and a real family heirloom. Remarkable condition, too. Do you know if you ever got to actually snuggle in it as a baby or if they kinda kept it aside as a keepsake? Handmade gifts are so precious. I believe we had a quilt here made by my husband’s grandmother, but I’m not sure where we’re currently keeping it. Probably put away since pets and kids could ruin it. So wonderful to see your personal artwork that’s left. Never part with them, as I know the bulk of the body of your work has been given away. That’s lovely and in the spirit of art, but the artist should retain at least a few pieces. Creating is a marvel to bd shared, but also to have a few as a reminder of our life’s imagination and craft. I adore the outside spaces as well, much thanks to your lovely daughter in law! I swear it couldn’t be more Zen! I would spend so much time, weather permitting, out there with a warm or cool beverage, depending on temps. Whether to just zone out & daydream or read a book, or, what with times being what they are, with my mobile phone or a laptop. The fountain and a little frog 🐸 friend! Nature in a shared space always brings me such joy! Almost wish you had a little pond that wouldn’t freeze over so he/she could bring some pals. Plus maybe dragonflies and lily pads! Or even lotuses. Man, is it crazy that I was most jealous that you’re so spry going down those stairs and sitting on a blanket on the grass at 87 when I probably couldn’t easily do that at 49? I told my daughter that, if I sat down there, I’d never get up again & would just say “I live here now.” 😆 Don’t even get md started on granddog Luigi. I do believe I would hold him like a baby and pet & kiss him all day! Loved his cozy bed for visits. Weird coincidence, that ending in the shower, clearly was from Ferris Burler’s movie. Yesterday, my oldest daughter offered me gummies in a way that I told her reminded me of a scene near the end of that movie when the bedraggled Principal, who had gotten wet, burned and pant’s leg torn by a dog in a yard, in pursuit of catching Ferris faking a sick day, gets picked up by the passing school bus and sits next to a nerdy girl to who offers him some gummies that were all soft and warm from being in her pocket. Strange that another reference from that movie happened here the very next morning! I love coincidences like that in my life & usually look upon them as favorable signs. Happy Holidays & looking forward to that video you have waiting getting uploaded. We’ll see how long you can hold out. 😄 Sorry this is so long, but I get on a roll!
