Hi again cheers for the update sorry after picking your brain again last time promise you mention that you only have one rib slipping on your one side how do you know this ,the drs are still saying it's definitely costochondritis with me and can take up to a year to ease I'm trying to decide my next action 🤔 thinking of a dynamic ultra sound just to ease my mind if nothing else tbh
I can feel mine with my fingers up and behind the rib above when i'm sat or stood, but when i'm lying down it goes back to where it should be. Most people with SRS have had a misdiagnosis of costochondritis as most doctors aren't aware of SRS (costo can be a standalone condition but also a symptom of SRS).
@@slippingribsyndrome thanks ever so much for your reply I'm not very good at feeling around the only reason I'm concerned with a slipped rib is because I didn't think that you could get costochondritis in the lower ribs which I only know that it's my 8 th rib all the way to my back because I paid to see a chiropractor after being told that it wasn't even my ribs that were the problem ,my thoughts are the slipping rib syndrome has to start somewhere and don't want this to end up with that as it's an awful illness to have not that other illness,s aren't, from what I've learned so far surly the earliest it's detected the better the out come ,I hope you understand where I'm coming from
@@lee-annmurphy9237 if it's the 8th rib it'd be more likely to be SRS as srs commonly affects 8 9 and 10 but 8 isn't as common as 9 and 10 according to dr hansen. I agree the earlier you can sort it the less likely it will cause more problems over time
Hello, no i've not uploaded in a while as i have had a lot to deal with and very little time. I've did have surgery on my right side, awaiting surgery on the left. I documented my surgery anf recovery in my videos and also keep a blog at slippingribsyndrome.org. i'll be updating everyone soon, as i'm awaiting the results of my latest scan
Hi I would love if you can send any information to me I think I've have slipping rib syndrome pm and finding it really hard to find anyone to help me I'm from cumbria UK and would love some help.
Hi Jani, all of the information is at slippingribsyndrome.org and there is a link to a very helpful support group under "support" as well as "Find a specialist". I would recommend Joel Dunning in Middlesbrough
