In appreciation even though they're no longer together, as the expectant mother I would suggest he give the gift to her since she's already the mother of his child. Although, the girlfriend is expecting a child she's technically not a mother as yet. @@kostak8175 Mother’s Day doesn’t have to be tricky, at least not in my eyes. Any woman who has a child, fostered a child, adopted a child, was/is pregnant is considered a mother to me. Even women who are childless like myself who have been like a second mom/good aunt to their nieces and nephews are in my eyes a mother because of their motherly duties
