Brilliant video!! Really enjoyed everything about it :) If possible in the future, could you do a video revving up your car? So we can hear how it sounds!

Thanks for replying! It doesn’t have to be too loud at all, just interested in the sounds! Do you think doing such a video would be possible then? That would be really appreciated but no worries if it’s not feasible 😁

I eat the American food 😊❤... Africans are big on sandwiches, my grandmother used to make us peanut butter and jam / sometimes just butter and jam,it depends on what you both agree on ...She'll easily acclimatized especially now that she's made friends at school. ❤

Hi Gabby, love your content! I've been watching your videos all day. My stepdad and mom started the visa process for me in 2019 under the IR2 category but I didn't qualify since I was already 20 years old and they got married when I was over 18. My mom was a permanent resident (Green Card holder) at that time. We re-applied in 2021 under the F2A category (adult child of a permanent resident) and became documentarily qualified in May 2022. However, after my mom became a naturalized US citizen, her documents were sent to the NVC, and my visa class was updated back to IR2 in April 2024. I'm worried that I'll have to start over and lose my original priority date from 2019. Will I have to go to the back of the queue or can I still use my initial priority date to expedite my process?

Hi, thank you, I’m so glad you find my videos helpful! Okay so the good news is when your visa petition automatically converts and the initial petition was a preference category, the priority date does not change. But, you mentioned that your category was converted to IR2 and if so that would make you an immediate relative which doesn’t rely on priority dates. This should actually speed up your case. Perhaps they are using the Child Status Protection Act in your case which protects you from aging out (I’m not certain..just a thought). Typically, if you’re over 21 your visa petition would have converted to First Preference (F1). So, this is definitely working in your favor with them assigning you to IR2 visa category. Wishing you all the best! ❤️

Hi Gabby, i just subscribed to your channel and i’ve watched all your videos concerning your step daughter’s immigration process. well i’m also from Ghana and has been DQ’d since March 2021 and PD is Feb 2017 F2A category .. i’m still waiting for an interview appointment, it’s been 3 years already. is there any way i could speed up my process or any info concerning F2A visas in Ghana?
@Marriedtotheculture
@Marriedtotheculture 5 месяцев назад
Hi, thank you! According to USCIS, the F2A category is no longer current for first time in years. So, the wait time for those with a priority date in 2020 or thereafter are on hold due to visas not being available. But fortunately, this should not affect you with a 2017 priority date. You’re able to request an expedited interview if you can show proof of a financial hardship or life/death medical emergency. It’s at their discretion if it’s approved. I’m not sure where Ghana is with interviews for this category. I suggest reaching out to NVC to confirm that there isn’t an issue and that they are simply still waiting for an interview date to become available for you. Here’s the link to submit the email: travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html

Hi gabby good day, I trust you doing well, pls I need your clarification on this issue; am on I 130 journey with my minor son, and as at this point we will be needing a joint sponsor: but my question is, should the joint sponsor fill out just one I -864 form for both myself and my child or she has to fill out separate 1-864 forms for me and a separate I -864 form for my son…I will be very much appreciated if u reply.thank u❤
@Marriedtotheculture
@Marriedtotheculture 5 месяцев назад
Hi, if your child is included with you on your I-130, he is considered a derivative then only one I-864 is needed. But, if a separate I-130 was submitted for your child then a separate I-864 will be needed (two forms I-864). Basically, the joint sponsor will need to do the same as the first sponsor because they’re proving financial responsibility separately as if the other doesn’t exist.
