As a NICU nurse one thing to protect your baby is always put them on their back to sleep! Just a sheet in the crib and u can swaddle him if u want but no loose blankets over top, no fuzzy blankets, no stuffed animals in the crib! Keep the crib very minimal and have fun with the rest of the room🤗 you’re gonna do great momma

Have you looked into the nannit? I’d recommend that either instead of the owlet or in addition! It’s on the pricier side for a baby monitor BUT tracks sleep/awake times, how long it’s taking babe to fall asleep and any night wake ups that they self soothe for (helpful down the line with sleep training!), and also comes with swaddles that track breathing/heart rate. As an infant nanny for years, I’ve always loved when families had this as the app is also super easy to give access to additional ppl (Nannie’s, family members, etc).

Hi momma! Being a mother is so fun & seeing them hit every milestone melts your momma heart. One thing is pls wash the babies clothes you just bought! I never really thought about it, but I had a baby right in the middle of 2020 & to think of the clothes being touched by sick people if it was on the floor or even if you ordered online pls wash it. A lot of tags do say to wash first before wear. I’m not trying to sound mean I just wasn’t aware of this with my first baby and want to let others know too.

The owlet helps my anxiety soooo much! It is so nice to have and I can actually sleep now knowing that something else is monitoring him besides just me. The first month I would literally have my hand on him in the bassinet all night making sure he was breathing!

I had the same sock for my daughters first year and it defiantly helped with the anxiety as a new mum and helped me get a bit of sleep. It did alert us once and it was really loud and woke us up. Luckily baby was fine. Highly recommend
