Vlog - Come to London with me for the Chelsea Flower Show + Living Room makeover update

This past Thursday I had to say goodbye to my sweet Lucky. He was a 17 year old Yorkie. He left this earth sleeping peacefully in my arms (with a bit of help from the vet). One of the hardest moments in my life. Give sweet Sofie a squeeze from a sad doggie mom in Oklahoma. May you have at least 17 wonderful years together. Love the pictures so very classy. Hugs

I am so glad to hear Sophie is ok. I was holding my breath the entire video! Dogs are such a blessing to our lives. They are definitely creatures of habit. My little dog had some skin issues on the tips of her ears. Something that made the edges of her velvety ears a tiny bit thicker than normal. It all turned out to be allergies too. We were given some cream to use on her ears and she got a steroid shot as well. Our vet said she will probably drink a bit more water for a couple of weeks because of the shot, and she has. But she’s fine. Allergies can do strange things to our four legged friends. Again, I am so happy Sophie is happy and healthy!

I’m so pleased you bought the maps, you’ll never regret a purchase like this and they’ll follow you where ever you go. I live in the Cotswolds near Oxford and bought some large old maps of Oxford, I love looking at them, they are also classic and timeless. I have a 11 year old terrier and she’s become very anxious the older she gets, she constantly needs me for reassurance and looks to me for my reactions. Puppies are wonderful but when they reach this age this is when the love, bond and trust between dog and owner is at its strongest, Sophie is lucky to have you. All the best x

Hello Nicholas! I would like to share a tip for getting moss to grow on your outside planters/ wall. All you need is buttermilk which you brush onto whatever surface terracotta is good and then you take miss from the florist or some you come across on a walk, then you crumble it to help release its spores. Keep the surface lightly moist and soon the new miss will be growing! This tip comes from Martha Stewart, if you have success, it would be something to share with your viewers. I LOVE the new artwork but I do adore the painting over your fireplace, too. And since I adore a sconce - I'd say buy new, fab sconces and put the art on the far wall! Whatever you choose to do will, obviously, be wonderful.

I actually gasped out loud when I saw those cream colored roses ; just gorgeous and then the decorations outside the store fronts: magical, but my main concern selfishly was Sophie . Consider this. Wire brass picture lights over each architectural print! It would spotlight them after dark and add a bit of light to that side of the room. Very sophisticated. Very metropolitan. It would look great!

As our dogs age, (my Standard poodle is 14!) their larynx some times doesn’t function as well & they wheeze & chuff & hack a bit. Excitement makes it worse. My old boy has the same issue when his routines are topsy turvy. I’m glad to hear Sophie is better. Your painting over the fireplace is my absolute favorite!

So happy to hear that Sophie is doing better !!! We had a Shih Tzu too, her name was "Pickles", she lived to 15 years old. We got her when she was 8 weeks old and she weighed only 3 lbs !! She had a cough too at one time or the other and the Vet prescribed the same thing. She lived a long and healthy life !! Sophie is so adorable, I love it when she is in your videos !!! While visiting our daughter in London, my husband and I got the opportunity to go to the Chelsea Flower Show. It was beautiful. Our daughter gave us the directions so we took the underground and found our way. We had wonderful crepes at Ye Olde Dutch afterwards. On another visit, we went to the Hampton Court Flower Show with our daughter. Just beautiful. They have since moved back to the states and I really miss going to England. We were fortunate to tour all over England with them over the 16 years they lived there.

My dog had a huffy puffy itchy issue when traveling. Vet said it was allergies and told me to wash face and feet after outings and give more water.

Personally, I greatly appreciate and prefer your latest Vlog style, as you are correct, it does bring a much more personal feel to things. I very much looked forward to your weekly videos throughout the pandemic, as they were like a sunbeam cutting through the dark clouds of an incredibly difficult time. Although we have all gained some sense of "normalcy" to our daily lives again, I still adore your content just as much as I did before, if not more so!
