I am on the other end of the spectrum, I am learning bass at 63... Ellen is my inspiration, I have yet to try this music system she is using. I am hesitant because I have only 3 working fingers on my fret hand, but watching her little hands do so much, it pushes me to try even harder. Thanks to her Father for being such an amazing coach, mentor and Father. Thanks to Ellen for being Ellen, and thanks to her Mum, who is also a wonderful influence.
DaSoulman...I'm 65 and I'm just starting to learn bass as well...I've been playing guitar since age 8 but I always wanted to learn the bass...Ellen is my inspiration also...good luck with the bass...
When Ellen emerged from the back seat and covered Mr. Nordegg's eyes, it had to be the sweetest, most adorable thing I've witnessed in quite some time. A genuine act of playfulness and love. We're all blessed to watch her journey evolve and before our eyes.
This old wise man speaks ever so true words. Ellen, please please never stop that smile. It helps so many to stay happy during all those nasty times. You are a great artist (music, performing, presence and now drawing too? WOW)!!!
TN has worked and rubbed shoulders with many of the greatest names in rock music over the past 50 years. To see him so 'star-struck' is a wonderful thing.❤
I love this. They are in awe that someone of his caliber is in their home studio. And he's in awe of Ellen's abilities, as he should be because she is amazing.
I just stop the video just to express my feelings while they're still alive: the pure and sincere smileing and joy between a child and a grown-up it's the hardest to achive in this dark world. This is the magic power of real art which brings back together in a single feeling and soul people from all times. This is what's called DIGNITY of Human Being. I love and hug you Ellen! You're an aramaic angel and a blessed child to your father who came from Paradise on this earth among people. Be blessed sweetheart! Wish you the best!💎💎❤❤🌹🌹👑👑🕊🕊
I wish RU-vid had a LOVE button for this video. It was so heartwarming! You could see Thomas’s heart melt when Ellen put her little hands over his eyes. The whole thing was adorable. And, of course, Ellen kicked ass on the bass - but what’s new about that.
I can't wait to see what she does next!! So young and so talented. Her and Melodia Cristea have a lot in common. It would be fantastic to get those 2 to meet.
Wow! Not only a musical talent, but the art she was showing Thomas looked pretty impressive too. A very enjoyable video. Dad has some pretty great chops as a video producer, beyond being a dynamite guitar player/music producer. You left me smiling AGAIN! Cheers!
So many people have commented on Ellen's smile and laughter. It should be acknowledged that being able to share and project that emotion is a gift into itself. For the soul shines thru a smile. Now add on her musical skills and see what a jewel she is to the world! The envy of SOOOO many musicians. Ellen, you are and will be a magnet. I speak blessing over you!!!
Ellen draws so well! I can play blues harp and some keys, but give me a pencil, a straight edge and an hour, and I cannot draw a straight line. Your kid never ceases to impress me!
Lol the amount of times he’s in awe. I’ve gotta say the feeling is mutual. Let’s just hope all this praise and attention doesn’t go to her head in a negative way.
I just discovered Ellen a couple of days ago. and was very impressed with her playing. But to see Thomas Nordegg this taken with her. I know the feeling I had about her is right she is very special and I see great things ahead for her. hate to admit it she already plays bass better than I do. but then I am a guitarist filling in on Bass
Oh yes Ellen's smile brightens up the world!! Such a pure talented young lady, I knew it the first time I seen her jam!!! Her Dad and Mom must be very proud!! 😁👍✌️
I hope she continues with the same innocence always, and that she is always surrounded by humble loving people, and that she never changes her way of being. even when you grow up be humble and simple
You could tell Thomas was very impressed with the studio! Even for being Vai's guitar tech he still had an appreciation for this girl's bass playing and her choice of gear.
Hahaha, that was very cool, I changed the way I setup my Ibanez guitars because of this man Thomas Nordegg, he just simplified it and it felt no longer like a task to do. Love the dog just chillin after the butt sniff greeting 😂
Its true Hovak, you are the luckiest man. I mean she's 9? 10? and you can tottaly jamemusic together on a pro base, and still having a cheerful smiling kid at the same time, Ellen is a true miracle Angel
Thomas has a brain that's wired different to most! Am a huge Steve fan but must admit when i saw Mr Vai and the band live in London a few years ago was more of a Thomas fan!!!! Thank you.
It was such a surprise to see a video with Thomas as I remember his work with many people in the music industry. I never saw a video of little Ellen so young. She was always so lovely. I guess she wil always be so great looking as she is like a doll that came to life one day instead of remaining on the store shelf, LOL. Penny Lane is one of my favorite Beatle's songs and I first saw her playing the bass and singing in that lovely video so I have been watching these videos since first seeing her. And you her Dad are an amazing gentleman as well how you work with her to promote her skills and abilities. I loved it to hear what country you were from as I ship language courses the world over and even have to a few customers in your homeland and what wonderful people I have spoken to there. May GOD Blessyou, your wife, and lovely Ellen always and may good fortune always follow her so she brings such pleasure to many others as well. Tell her I adore her and may she have a great life as she is wonderful person to see and hear as she is a true gift from GOD to all of us. Ray C. Florida
I was wandering which is Ellen's favorite bass guitar to play? And I was playing in my church for a while but, need more practice. I gave it up for a while then I hear Ellen playing it has given me reason to play again 😃 Thank you Ellen and God bless you.
Your husky really loves Thomas. And can't take his/her eyes off of him. Trying to figure him out. I had a husky. Very friendly doggies. When it was time to pick a instrument to play in band. You were taken to a room with a lot of instruments in it. I wanted to learn the guitar 🎸. But there wasn't one. So I pointed to a trumpet. I wanted to learn the guitar so bad. But I never got around to it in life. I enjoy yahs videos. Keep up the good work. Thanks 🤓😎😛😝😋😜🎳🎺🎸🐕🐶
Thomas Nordegg--how COOL is that! I don't know who is the luckier person, you for having Thomas Nordegg as a fan, or Thomas Nordegg for having you as a fan. He is obviously in awe of you, Ellen, and with good reason. You are truly blessed! May the blessings continue for you, Ellen, and for your mother and father, as well. Speaking of talent, I see that you are a VERY talented artist in the visual arts, as well. The artwork that you were showing Thomas in your sketch book was excellent. Also, the sketch you were doing of your dog was very good, too. You are just a very talented young lady. Then there's your vocal performance on your cover of The Beatles' "Penny Lane"; but that's another story. Do you have any plans to sell any of your artwork--paintings or sketches, perhaps? When you decide to make some of your artwork available for sale, let me know and I'll mortgage the house and buy one of your pieces.
Wow!!! How cool was that!!!? Ellen is amazingly talented girl!! Those drawings are professional looking!! Does she sell any of her drawings? That'd be a good source for a little extra equipment, cookies, little pink fluffy thingy-meh-jigs, you know, the important stuff!! ✌😂💞
