Your American flag has the word ‘Saengerfest’ on it. That is one spelling of several German variations for ‘singing festival’. Add the word ‘wein’ and it becomes a drinking celebration. Cheers!
Loved seeing your garden. I love doing wax seals on my letters and birthday card envelopes. It makes it feel so special and when I am heating and dripping the wax on it makes me feel a bit like I have gone back in time 😊
I love that box design. Those red glassware your friend gave you are so pretty. They would be nice for CHRISTMAS, Gotta decorate for memorial day.🤔👍❤🌴🐠🦋🦀🦚💮🌺🐚🦜🐞🌸
You should try and figure out what that crest reads on the wax seal stamp. I keep telling you! You are always one step away from finding an Antiques Roadshow treasure. That is a Chrysanthemum, a prominent and significant symbol in Japanese culture. That stamp was not some novelty or knock off item. Quality! I think you also found a pretty significant Asian tea caddy once. I may be hallucinating though.
@@TarnishedTreasures1 sorry, I was just sold last week, when we posted a sign at the end of the driveway, ‘Selling Used Cows’. LOL. A 70 year old is not exactly a promising triple crown winner. It would be an honor to be related.
your yard and gardens are so pretty. my peonies and roses are about to open too. so much happening in the gardens right now. every day gets prettier. 💐
I just discovered Danielle’s channel. You both have such a talent for styling your finds. A wax seal can look so pretty done over a ribbon. I’ve seen people who use wax sticks in their glue guns make some pretty perfect circles. I may give that a try because I like mine symmetrical, too.
Love the wax stamp. Ive got all the things, but my stamps are hello kitty and a shark lol, so there's that. Love your swan, wish i could show you mine. I made mini swans out of clay, size of a peanut m&m, i love them. Nice yard, great food! ♡
I love your Ruby glass gifts. They are from around the turn of the century. I have a few too. But you keep calling the design cut glass. Some could be that but I think the majority of them are EAPG ( Early American Pressed Glass). It was considered the poor man’s cut glass. As it was less expensive to make and they could buy it. It was made in a mold and not cut. I’m just trying to be helpful and hope you don’t think I’m being nasty.Scott in the Old Curiosity talks about EAPG and cut glass and the difference. He is on U Tube too.
@@TarnishedTreasures1 I think I seen them. I was meaning so the ribbons popped thru the slots/wire grid in front, so you could see all the varieties you have on show.. What ever way, it look fab!!
The peony with no buds. Check the base of the plant. If it got covered in dirt it won't bloom. It has to be partially😮 exposed above the soil. It might also have been that the weather was too mild this winter.
I love, love your garden! Did you guys plant all of those, or did you "inherit" when you got the house? Peonies are pretty high on my list of favorite flowers, but the will not grow down here in the deep south....nor lily of the valley. Have a wonderful Mother's Day!
Hi I do not know what that was at the grocery store, can you tell us. Your flowers are beautiful. I had a laugh when you said you used a vintage wrapping paper roll. My brother & I used to sword fight or end up wacking eachother with those. Sometimes it really stung. No toys needed..LOL. Great use for your pretty ribbons. TFS. ☮️💜
