hi guys!!
it's been a while and thank you for your patience~ since graduating, life has been a good mix of getting time for myself, spending time with family, and travelling. i've been keeping myself busy with getting back into life outside of classes and studying all the time, and now i'm starting to prep for the next chapter of my life. ♡
the experiences that i gained from my conversations on fiverr were truly fulfilling and i wanted to share some more details on what i learned from those specific calls for you guys!
1. Think about what you actually want to do : Often times, we think more about the idea of something, rather than focusing on the details of what the day-to-day job entails (ie. how is the job hierarchy/work dynamics, what does advancement look like, is the job monotonous or variable). Really question and research about your job of interest and see if it's something you would truly enjoy doing!
2. Research! : I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to research before you jump into something. Gain some experience in that field through internships, shadowing, or volunteer work. Connect with people. Look at benefits, job types, mobility, and flexibility!
3. Build confidence! : Resumes and cover letters should be something that you're proud to submit because it is representing you! And, interviews are the one-shot you have to truly show who you are in front of a company! Practice the interview STAR method, research the company that you're interviewing for, and have examples ready to demonstrate your skills!
