Just had four weeks of radio therapy for prostrate cancer, my problems look small to your long Covid problems. Keep positive Kevin, as a project no matter how small is a good way to help recovery. May I add a comment to all men 50 plus, get a PSA test to see if you may have prostrate cancer. It could save your life, as it not just an old man's problem.

Hi Kevin, I was chatting a newly licenced ham this evening in the UK. He was telling me about his antenna tuner build, then I remembered you built a simple one on a piece of wood along with a diagram, I have sent him to that video of yours. keep going Kevin had Covide in Jan 2020 3 months on a ventilator still have breathing and severe fatigue walking still very poor but it is still improving very slowly and with the help of some good friends we towed our caravan/trailer to a week long radio rally and thoroughly enjoyed it. keep strong best regards Chris M0KPU

Glad to see you are able to get some work in. A bit more each day. I crashed my Harley in April and broke my back. Lost most of the summer recovering, but I try to do just a bit more every day than I did the day before. Not always successful, but more often than not. I did purchase another Harley, so next spring I’ll be ready! Get well Kevin.

Doing the same here Kevin. Doc weening me to lower mg. Bpm same, 88-115. Dont rush..it comes back slow. May check into gmrs, many of us hams on the repeaters. China radios $20-$100, SOC. Midland superhet, and double $$ 462 mhz, upper 70cm. Speedy recovery . Great to see you up and around. Serenity will be happy to have her driver companion back. 73, KB8QLZ Ps camera has image stabilization.. ..and if you can snag some O2, try 2 litre per minute for a few minutes a day. It reduces the fast burnout. I went from renting to owning a dual power unit..I wont mention the second mortgage (hihi).
Kevin, so good to see you're on the mend! You're a positive influence for all of us. I've never had covid but I have had arrhythmia which sounds a lot like your heart problem. I lived with a periodic racing heartbeat and low energy for several years until a catheter-ablation operation finally fixed it. If that's your problem then maybe that operation can work for you, too. I wish you well and to keep up the great work!
Thanks. And no, the hart issue with long COVID is neurological. It's a dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system, which affects not only the heart but the GI tract metabolism and everything else that's automatically controlled. It all gets screwed up. And it is slowly getting better. It just takes time for them brain to rewire and repair the damage.
My taste is slowly coming back but I from Chemo not Covid. Not sure which is worse. Boost 3X/Day is definitely helped my energy. Couldn't hurt. Good luck. Prayers.
Yes and no. Somethings are getting better. But I had a crash in early December. With long COVID it's well understood now that exercise intolerance is part of it. If you exert yourself, you risk a setback. Which is what happened. One day I felt really good, so I didn't rest. The next day I woke up feeling as bad as I had 4 months previous. And it took me almost a month to recover from it and get back to close to where I was before the crash. So that kind of delayed things. Now I'm back to slowly getting better, month to month. I'm hoping to be able to live independently again by spring.
I see you posted a few days ago on Patreon - I'm not a member so don't know what the post was, but I thought I'd churn some activity here to let your YT fans know you're still on the mend. No news isn't good news with Long Covid. Just so you know, you have a lot of people out here that are wishing you the speediest and complete recovery.
Thanks. I am very very slowly improving. I overdid things in early December and had a "crash", causing Post Exertional Malaise. I was set back and it took over a month to bounce back. I'll work on another video soon. Still have very little energy though.
