Birth/postpartum doula here. You don’t transfer into a sleep sack till baby is rolling onto their belly/around the crib on their own. Think of it like a blanket. Kids cant keep a blanket on them. I have seen kids love them so much and stay in them till 2+. Infants need swaddle only. Love you Julia! Excited for little H!

I love that you agree to what your husband says sometimes and don’t argue constantly, at least that’s what we see on camera. I feel like that’s what keeps a marriage strong.

Old Navy has great (cheaper) onesies too! And they have mittens and double zips into the older months (which is essential). And they withstand blowouts 😅 I’d also recommend waiting on buying too much more bc you’ll figure out what you prefer to dress him in once he comes

Sorry Hunter but Julia is right the blanket/vase situation on the coffee table. Lol! For the console ( such a gorgeous piece!!_) I say one plant it looks nice w/the mirror - nice vibe. Question - What about hanging the mirror horizontally over the console? I know the mirror leaning vertically draws the eye up - but I love the idea of the horizontal positioning opening up the wall even more w/the refection of the mirror covering the length of the console! ? I'm sure you guys have already thought of that. Also, I think a lamp where you have it on the fireplace side of the couch & then one between the chairs. If you want one on the other side of the couch (& putting it kind of behind the couch - perhaps a slender/small profile task lamp w/an arm or something. I just don't know how much comfortable space you'll have behind the couch for 2 standing lamps & the bench - even a low profile one - once you have the dining table & chairs? Anyway, just spit balling - feels like I'm hanging out with you guys as you put together this new space - it's so much fun!!

Just FYI - you use just the swaddle until the baby shows signs of rolling over. Then you transition to the sleep sack! Definitely do not layer both together or your baby will overheat lol

Julia you should definitely try one of the MagneticMe onesies. Zippers have nothing on the magnets. I got one for my daughter when she was born and her nurses are were literally in shock how easy it was to get her in and out! The magnets aren’t cold and the fabric is great. They have them at BBB but so many more prints (esp for boys!) directly from their page. I’m so excited for you 🩵

I switched my bub to xs at 10 weeks and we did the halo swaddles until then. The swaddle me was nice for newborn phase. I use the dream drape on the Nuna but we use a Muslin cover for our other car seat, since it's breathable for the summer. Im so excited to see what you guys do for his space!

IDEA: Dining area - I would try a round wooden table and smaller scale chairs - about 5 chairs. (I love your other chairs, but the scale of them is too tight of a fit for that space). I say round table, as it gives another shape - rather than having oval - oval would be too similar to your new living room coffee table - and oval would also appear long, similar to the sofa that it will be behind. You really do have to try out a few different shapes and sizes of table, as you said. On your living room sideboard, I would have just one lamp, and one plant. If you do two plants, along with the 2 lamps - it is going to look too cluttered, as well, it will give a more traditional look/vibe to your home. Back in the day, it was called "Formal Balance". I love the layout of that you chose for your living room! Happy for both of you!
