I agree, when I say be open, I don't necessarily mean online...talk to somebody you trust in person, or whatever works for you and just be sincere about it. Dont do it because you want attention. We all know when someone is being sincere or not. You're right!
GIRL! I had this conversation with my coworkers! we need to try to be human instead labeling ourselves as strong, weak, bitches, niggas, baby mamas, baby daddy's, hoes, tricks, etc... It is definitely time to embrace the humanity in ourselves and others.
I agree. People need to be real with themselves. I don't necissarily think you should go public with ALL your emotions because some things are definitely better left unsaid (In this case you vent in private and figure out a way to resolve your issue alone), but certaintly don't act like nothing's wrong if others can help you. Letting it bottle up only goes so far.
I completely get it . Nowadays its not that people will think your weak but there is no support system throughout the people you love for that certain topic . Its like somethings you want to keep to yourself but you just got to get them out.

Raven, I just want to applaud you for making this video. Your vulnerability just helped many ppl.I'm the same way as you when it comes to thoughts! I'm always thinking but barely speaking (except to close friends). I don't have many friends but the few I have are genuine but, because of the way society conditions us to think, I have a hard time opening up to them sometimes. It's so sad because I don't think ANYONE knows the real me and I wonder who would even want to accept the real me.

"Some" Broken and Hurt people Hurt people. The remedy is to continue to show love. Love does not mean "understanding." Which is stronger and brighter...Darkness Or Light? Light=Love. We have no right to judge what we do not understand. It is literally not our "assignment." Love one another. Period...at the very least. Respect what you see may be coming from a place of fear and insecurity. Don't judge it...Just love people.

This happens to everyone. I've been there with the writing something and never post it. Save it for later (or whatever cause i don't usually go back and read it) But Iim the one who sent that long message on tumblr (it was like 8 asks..sorry) but i know where you're coming from and it does get better and easier. Some days you have slips us and thats normal but overall once you decide to move on you have to focus on that.

I agree when you say everyone has issues & it's okay to be okay, however when you said no one is okay, I disagree. Some people really are okay. Some people are content with their lives & are happy with where they're at. I know that at a point in everyone's life there is going to be a time when they are absolutely not okay & I think kind of like a hedonist, in order to reach the point of happiness, you have to face some obstacles, but in the end you'll be okay,& sometimes... people are just okay.
Love this video. But, Raven, don't forget about the people who abuse the emotional vent (i.e. Tumblr). Whenever I see people go on and on and on about depression, hating life, posting photo after photo of their self-harm or how they want to die....it's seems more like attention-whoring than a cry for help. I totally agree we should be able to express ourselves but being a whiny attention-seeker isn't the right way to do it.
