This week pings back and forth between me just trying to make a video each day out of days that don’t feel all that worth documenting - at least not visually - and me going over how I write the scripts for the explainer videos I make for my day job. These vlogs aren’t where I want them to be yet, but I think this week has some good seeds for what I eventually want them to become.

Stumbled on your channel... keep going my friend. I've been doing this for 8 years (fulltime for 4 years- with 2 channels now). It will pay off, just requires a bit of patience and sticking at it :)

Will do; I enjoy the process of making videos, so if nothing else, that’ll hopefully keep me at it. Appreciate the encouragement and congrats on making it

Can you make a video on framing or point me in the right direction? Your frames are amazing. I’ve been daily vlogging as well but more of a run and gun style. I’m looking to slow them down a little but I think I’m horrible at framing lol I watched ur 7 shot sequence I’ll be trying that out as well.

Thanks for saying that. The two main things I keep in mind for framing are the rule of thirds (split the screen into 3 vertical sections and 3 horizontal sections and put the subject on one of the intersecting points) and foreground/midground/ground (basically splitting the screen into 3 sections depth-wise and having something in each section). And then a lot of times I just lean on shooting at longer focal lengths (35-85mm) so I can control the frame even more, tho then I gotta make sure I’m not cutting off whatever is the focus of the shot bc it’s so tightly framed. Hope that helps but send word w any more questions. I think a lot of it for me has just come down to trying a bunch of stuff to see what I like (or don’t) and trying to break down what I do/don’t like about a shot
