Juat a little mamma advice - cut back on the naps... I had 3 boys and I know how SLEEP is so important to a parent .. you have to cut back on the naps ... he may be having too many naps during the day ... hes getting old enough where he doesnt need as many naps ... once I did that my boys slept really well through the night. I know its nice to have that free time in the afternoon, but too may naps can cause him to be wide awake at night

Agree! I have a little one Liams age who takes 1 afternoon nap. My little one sleeps great at night. Thanks to the mamas with experience who give advice!

Yes! Once my baby was about 15 months old I cut one nap instead of two. And he takes his one 2hr nap ever since.

This…. My daughter is the same age as Liam and only naps once a day for 1.5 hours on average and is a phenomenal overnight sleeper. Our 12m old only takes two naps during the day and is the same phenomenal overnight sleeper.

Your son isn't sleeping at night because he's sleeping during the day, a 2-hour nap for a kid that old is actually going to keep him up at night

It isn't any of our business, but I do hope Liam has been evaluated & if he needs some intervention, he is getting what he needs. Nothing to be ashamed of if he is a little behind though. Early intervention is so important with our children to help them reach their full potential.

@@Janjackowski-ph1ji well how do you know she doesn't? You see 15 minutes of her life twice a week. Remember she is not going to film at a playground because it's against the law to record other children and post it without the parents consent. So who's to say she doesn't take him. Remember just because you don't see it, don't mean it's not happening.

Cut back on the naps,he's no longer an infant. I work at a nursery. We put the littles down for 1 hour right after lunch. That's it!!

There could be several reasons for the sleep regression. If the child experiences night terrors (typical for that age; don't be alarmed unless Liam has them more frequently), it could be that the nap during the day is too long or that Liam is going to bed way too early. Liam could also exhibit separation anxiety, which is generally expected for toddlers. Don’t take this out of context with animals make sure the door closed because animals will wake you up for attention. If you don’t see anything out of the norm for causing the issue for sleep regression. Liam is boy, and boys 😂 they have way more energy I would do an obstacle course game inside or outside after dinner with Liam will help get those extra wiggles out.

I remember when mine started to miss naps. Then there were no naps. Now that’s not to say they won’t ever take naps again. But it won’t be an everyday thing anymore.

My kids learned so much from cartoons when they were little. My oldest was speaking a lot of Spanish words at 2 years old from watching Dora the explorer.

I have an almost 18 month old and for his smoothies I add hemp hearts, flaxseed and frozen riced cauliflower. Adds lots of healthy stuff like protein, omegas, fiber and a veggie and you can’t tell it’s in there!

Try inverting the pumpkin on a bowl and cut the bottom out instead of the top. Then the top stays stationary and then I put in a battery candle . Also use a bowl to elevate the pumpkin as you carve it. Much easier on the back! Happy Fall and Happy PHOTO Shoot!

Those nights are so hard. If he’s not down to one nap, maybe he’s ready. Something else that has helped us is a magnesium lotion (safe for babies/toddlers).
