To the bashers out there They are not trying to present themselves as from a certain country known for idols with how they look dress or dance apparently many still has zero appreciation of how normal/similar in Asia this entertainment style the idol concept aka boyband the fashion are actually western inspired and the hairstyles are called cachupoy, otherwise already old hairstyles that have been revive/refreshed similar to fashion. They are not imitating a nationality, they are trained performers to fit an image/character of a group performers a boyband Asian style. Respect them by acknowledging them as them instead of looking at them but seeing something else. Sejun- group leader, vocal,rapper song writer (composer of beat melody+lyrics. He has a number of personal compositions already but unreleased, with one released under Showbt a promotional single titled "IKAKO") He wrote the lyrics of all their songs so far (though the members has inputs as well) Ken- Main dancer, vocal, plays piano and guitar. An aspiring songwriter as well he is working on that to contribute on the group's future albums . (Their success is uncertain to almost wont work out, just when they almost give up but then released a dance practice of the song which made them viral and ultimately catapulted them into the mainstream. The group has a goal of making music(beat/melody) on their own, other than the ones provided by their company and working with local composers as well is in the table, then everyone's affected by Covid pandemic including the 2020 Sb19's schedule their 1st album released was delayed and ultimately just made a decision to released it digitally. Our entertainment from tv,movies and music our fashion sense were emulated adapted from the west, our entertainment is just evolving we used to look to the west (in the 90s the Mexicanovela crazed) and the shift to Asian started in early 2000 (Meteor Garden of Taiwan) anyway instead of really adapting we stay stagnant (well our entertainment stakeholders) In the case of boyband its not something new in OPM we had them since the 90s, our stake holders mediocrity pwede na iyan basta bawi kita mentality kasi tinatangkilik naman and innate Pinoy culture na basta pogi at maganda pang entertainer at idaan sa konting practice at puro pacute resulted in half baked cringy performers it took a Korean entertainment company who really looked/searched unknown talents without prejudice on looks to level up this type of entertainment on our OPM. These guys are singing in their natural voice unlike mostly generic just same sounding voice or mimicking, similar to those into RNB.
