I've been using one called Qwant, but sometimes the search results aren't great. I'll give DuckDuckGo a try! Thanks for sharing your thoughts, I agree largely with everything you've said. Even though I do shop at brands that are part of the H&M group the 'brainwashing' techniques the fashion industry use or should we say greenwashing (?!) are glaringly obvious and I always take with a pinch of salt. And ppl who work for RF also own it, which I think it's lovely + the boxes are plastic-free (plastic is a hormone disruptor + bad for the environment, recyclable or not). I agree that advertising uses some of the same tactics. But social media is like constant advertising. It is , in the main, aspirational and based on consumerism and overt materialism. When do we form our identities? when we are teenagers and the present teenagers spend a lot of time of social media and that is where their identities and values are being formed. When real life doesn't match up to whats others appear to be doing on screen then it creates depression and anxiety. Theres a book "The Age of Surveillance Capitalism" which goes into all the aspects of social media, Google and customer profiling. Although a little heavy and complex! This isn't to say I don't like all social media and BTW I like clothes and makeup and this vlog . . .

Thank you :) The one featured here is the Muji one, it's the larger size. I love it! Muji have so many different oils (obviously you're not limited to just using Muji oils, you can use any oil) and it's great to use as a dim cozy light in the evenings.
