I just finished binge watching your videos since you publicly announced you were getting a divorce to the latest one. I’m a new subscriber here!! And Wow, let me just say you have easily become my favorite person here on RU-vid. Although, I’m in a very loving, committed relationship, you gave me this unwavering sense of hope that no matter what happens, there is always new beginnings. And that they can be so damn beautiful. You are a rockstar. And if you haven’t been told today, you are changing lives. Your story is helping others. So thank you! And I hope you have an awesome day today. ☺️
I would suggest if you want a cute small town, Scenic views and shops check out Mackinaw City/Mackinac Island, MI. You'll find shops, restaurants, forts ect. The island is a nice day trip. You can walk or bike around the island and all the homes on the island are so cute!! There is butterfly Observatory on the island. Definitely worth checking out. Oh and there are no cars on the island but there are horses.
I think you would LOVE southwest Michigan! There are sooo many quaint little downtowns and they’re all along the Lake Michigan shore! I definitely get east coast vibes from those areas - even though it’s a huge lake 😂 South Haven, Holland (they have a tulip festival coming up), Traverse City and Suttons Bay! There are a few other small beach towns in between all of those places, but those are some of the best! Best time to go is definitely when the weather gets warmer! 💕
Hi Michel! I started watching (and loving) your videos recently. It is so cool to see a youtuber based on the same area as me. I've lived all over Austin for the last 8 years while working and going to school (now a little outside of the city near Bee Cave). I especially loved this travel vlog! Fiancé and I got engaged on that pedestrian bridge last November during this impromptu trip to Nashville and we are looking to make the move there soon. The city was a lot of fun while we were there but we definitely missed a couple more spots. So sweet watching this vlog and relieving those memories! Thank you for sharing. I'll need to check out some of Chloe's videos now :)
You should visit the central coast in California. Towns like San Luis Obispo, Arroyo Grande, Morro Bay, Pismo/Shell Beach, Avila Beach, or Cambria/San Simeon, CA. Small towns (all a drive away from on another)- beach towns, coffee shops, hiking/nature and thrifting!
So cute. Would love to see Nashville at some point. Good job covering the cool coffee shops. Loved it. And love Chloe ❣️. You two together was adorable 🙂. Be well
I am so glad u have over come so much!! U have inspired me so much!! Glad u are going on trips!! Glad u are taken time for yourself and salt growing too. I miss ma and pa coming on here. Love how close you are with your family. I am also too. Glad u had fun in Nashville
Good morning michel happy Thursday morning and I just wanted to say that your vlogs is amazing I loved your channel and you are amazing Supporter and I'm proud of you
I’m glad you enjoyed your trip to nashville. I live just outside of nash and love it! Frothy monkey is my favorite so good call stopping there on your first day ☺️ I’m not positive but I think Germantown, though originally inhabited by German immigrants in the 1800s, was predominantly inhabited by black populations in the mid 1900s and early 2000s. Then, the area underwent gentrification which is why it doesn’t have a german cultural feel.
I love Nashville have family that live there and it's a great town glad you went next time you have to see the country music hall and the Parthenon and park but I also wish you would come to Birmingham Alabama we have so many fun things to do and thift shopes that I love
Morro Bay, California; it's my family's go-to getaway. Morro's a small town right on the beach: a jewelry-making shop, kayaking near seals, thrifting, a great local coffee shop, and a salt-water taffy shop with gluten-free options.
I'm partial because I live in beautiful Arizona! It's scenic everywhere but Sedona is gorgeous. Also good food and coffee there! I'm a new sub from Chloe's channel!
Nashville is a great city. Biscuit Luv is amazing! For small towns, I love McMinnville, Oregon and South Haven, Michigan, but there are some other cute small towns along Lake Michigan as well.
You maybe already thought of this, but you should write on the frame backings where you purchased the picture, the date, who you were with, etc., for future reference. Hope you had fun. Mystic, CT is pretty special!
I just moved to Frederick, MD and it’s the cutest town in Maryland in my opinion. It’s about an hour west of Baltimore. Market street has so many cute shops and amazing restaurants on the creek, and lots of history in the town to explore too. Would def recommend!
I have to add a recommendation for Mackinac Island. Very unusual, finding places to park, no worries, cars aren't permitted on the island. Rent a bike.
Come to Hot Springs, AR! Cool small town and lots of good thrifting! Also, be sure to label the backs of all your travel finds, so you’ll always remember where you got them!
I also enjoy small cities, the little nooks and crannies of cute stores and unknown marks are adorable. Google maps should help find parking and also show you prices. So you don’t have to pay $9 haha
This is the first RU-vid comment that I'm writing. I actually am quite shy and never comment, although I always watch and like your videos to show my support :) I have been following since your divorce video was up, and I have enjoyed every video since. You are such a joy to watch and your videos bring me so much happiness, specially since I am home sick with covid. Watching you living your best life is absolutely beautiful and inspiring, and I will definitely be sticking around :) I wish you nothing but the best! I don't live in the US so I can't reccomend any towns to visit, but I think you would love Bruges (Belgium), Berlin (Germany), and a few towns in Portugal (such as Lisbon, Cascais, etc). Also, do you have by any chance a PO box where we could send you mail? I would love to send you a postcard! Sending you lots of love xxx
I have enjoyed your travel vlogs, I feel like I’m the experience with you and much different then your usual ones. (I love both!!!) I hope you do some more traveling, it makes me want to make the same stops❤️❤️
Love McKay's and Five Daughters. We also love staying at Opryland Hotel. Thomasville GA is a wonderful little town in south Georgia. I went to a Keller's Creations scrapbooking event there last January and had a wonderful day in town. Lots of shops and Jonah's is wonderful place to eat (not sure it has gluten free but delicious down home cooking with a little twist on some of the recipes.)
What a fun vlog! You might enjoy Heber and Midway, Utah. Midway is the home of “Swiss Days.” Super cute! There’s a German town called Leavenworth in Washington you might enjoy too, then head over to Snoqualmie Falls and Mount Rainier. 🤗
I’m loving all of these solo travel vlogs!! ✈️ I would suggest Sea Island, GA. It’s such a cute little beach town! ☀️ Also, have you thought about mailing any pictures that you find to yourself at home? I’d hate for you to pass up an amazing piece of art because it doesn’t fit in your suitcase!
If you want beautiful, cute towns to visit, Long Island has many. I'm a North Shore girl so Cold Spring Harbor (It's a Billy Joel album), Huntington, Northport, Stony Brook, Port Jefferson......on one fork is the Hamptons and Montauk, on the other is Greenport - love Greenport, wineries......lots to see - you'll definitely need a car! But I'm from the area so if you decide to come I can help you navigate the waters.....which we are surrounded by, BTW.
I feel like you cut this vlog a bit short? 😌 but maybe it was because you met up with your new beau? 🥰 either way it was a great travel vlog and I'm here for the donut 🍩 tasting 😋 😂 looking forward to more adventures 💖
You should visit Traverse City, Mi! It is an adorable midsize town with so many fun coffee shops, touristy things, cute neighborhoods, and nature preservation areas.
Me too! I love your channel Michel. Going through same thing and although a lot older than you I find your videos so comforting. Thank you. From Wisconsin ❤️
You should plan a fall foliage trip to Asheville area and drive on the blue ridge parkway and go the a fall festival/apple picking in Hendersonville! Immaculate smaller town vibes 🥰 we did that last fall because we live in Florida so fall isn’t the same here & it was the best trip I’ve ever been on Also I grew up a couple hours from Nashville in KY & then lived there some during and after college & it was so neat to see it through your lens just exploring it for the first time 😊💖
Asheville and Hendersonville are wonderful. My brother lives in Flat Rock. LOVE it there. Also Brevard, NC is somewhere I love to visit when I'm visiting.
My BF and I take a trip to Asheville every year! Amazing hiking, breweries (we r beer nerds), and a really cool art scene! galleries all over the city.
I grew up in Stillwater, MN which is the “birthplace of Minnesota,” and the most adorable historic river town. It has great little coffee shops, historic vibes, and usually has some fun events going on! You should check it out!
not in the US but Budapest in Hungary has amazing coffee shops and is so scenic. If you want something a little closer, Halifax, Nova Scotia or the island of PEI are both amazing, as is Okotoks Alberta!
Hello from a Nashville native! You saw a lot, and we are very much a smaller version of Austin. Some other places you might want to check out are Chattanooga, TN and Asheville, NC. Very scenic towns, Asheville is so beautiful and very artsy. There's about a million coffee shops there, you'd love it!
You have to check out Savannah, Georgia! I visited there for the first time this year and fell in love! It's literally the most charming little town and the architecture and parks are soooo aesthetically pleasing.
Girl this video was so aesthetic and I noticed the extra effort you put into making us feel like we were with you. Setting up the camera on the ground to walk by when I know you had to go back and get it. Oh and the pink petals! Man I wish I was there a gf treat sounds yummy 😋. Commenting halfway through but thank you so far for the adventure it brightened my day
For your thrifted pictures for your gallery wall, you should tape I note behind the pictures that says where you got it, the date, and maybe even a photo of you from the trip 😁
This vlog was so cute! Very relaxing and uplifting. 💗If you ever come back to Nashville, I'd recommend downtown Franklin (south of Nashville), especially during festivals they have a few times a year! It's very charming and has those old timey vibes. And during the holidays Opryland has beautiful Christmas lights and activities! Can't wait to see where you go next!☺💞
If you want a true small town experience with Amish, old town vibes, a candy store, antique mall, candle shop, and ice cream parlor as the main attractions, you should go to Grabill, Indiana! That’s where I grew up, and it’s absolutely adorable!
I am so glad you had fun in Nashville and got to meet Chloe in person. I started watching Chloe because of you and I like her a lot. What a beautiful addition to your gallery wall.
I smiled from start to finish on this vlog. I grew up in Nashville and seeing you visit all these spots felt so nostalgic for me. And it’s very wild the timing of your trip because as you arrived, I was at the airport flying back to Baltimore after a visiting family for a week 😂
Have you spent much time in Carmel or Monterey? They are small coastal towns just south of San Francisco, and have beautiful beaches and great food! Also, I wanted to let you know that the end card on your videos still has your old IG handle. Thank you for taking us along on your travels. You’ve actually inspired me to book a solo night away 🤗
If you ever visit Nova Scotia (where I am from) I think you would like Halifax but also really recommend you take a day to visit Wolfville (about an hour from Halifax), it's a really cute little town and I think you would like it:)
Love whenever you collaborate with Chloe❤️and love all these travel blogs as I am blessed to live vicariously through your choices🙏🏻 Is there any way for you to post your music utilized in your videos? Your music is so curated and I love it❤️
I’ve heard great things about Thomasville, Georgia! It is high on my ‘quaint small town’ bucket list. Be sure to stop into the bookshelf if you go. Annie Jones is the owner and has a great bookish podcast. She will also surely have plenty of great local recommendations. She describes it like a little Stars Hollow.
I’ll add Cashiers and Highlands, North Carolina. It is the most quaint (but full of good food, shops, waterfalls, and hiking) Hallmark-esque east coast mountain town.
I'm so glad you visited my home state! I live just south of Nashville, and it has a special place in my heart. Five Daughters, Frothy Monkey, Barista Parlor, and McKay's are major favorites of mine. :D (And I remember visiting that Farmer's Market as a kid!)
