I would be interested in hearing more about the fragrances you edit out and why. I am interested in perfume collections, but it’s kind of confusing to keep up when you say you have a lot of other perfumes. Maybe sharing it as a seasonal capsule would be more authentic. I do enjoy your videos!

yes I can totally see that. Basically the ones I don't have on my shelf I don't "count" as I'm always trying to get to that perfect collection. I know it probably seems confusing but this is how I organize them in my head. They're not really seasonal as I explained so it's tough to portray them as a "capsule" - they're basically all of the ones I want year round, all occasion. I hope that makes sense! The ones not talked about or shown are ones that are in a "maybe" pile so to speak.

I also feel like I’m close to having my ideal collection. I’m just filling some holes and slowly buying the full bottles I’ve sampled and know I love. But then you talk about eau duelle and I feel like I would really love that one. Do I need it? No. But it’s so tempting. And then I realize that the only way I could ever be done is to completely walk away from the fragrance community for a long time and ignore all new releases. And I would probably be very happy for many years with what I have already.

Exactly right?? If you/I/anyone just shifted their focus and thought about something else for a while, we’d realize we prob don’t need half of what we have haha 😂.

Penelope, I understand completely. I have stopped consuming as much perfume content on RU-vid. And I find I want to buy less and use what I have, which is not exactly a tiny collection. I have 31 bottles and am rather happy with what I have. Wish I had a few more summer fragrances that are interesting and fun. But looking for more will not necessarily make me happier.

@@MelissaClaasen that sounds like a perfect amount. I think exploring new perfumes has become a way to sooth myself, kind of like comfort food. I started this at the beginning of covid. I think it’s time to shift mindset to more appropriate self care. Health, fitness, travel, art, reading and writing - those I need more of because they ACTUALLY lift my spirits. You’ve inspired me to try peony and blush suede again, I tried it a couple years ago and at the time couldn’t get past the red apple note. But after hearing you talk about it my curiosity was peaked. With that being said I recently sampled it and I’m in love! So chic and beautiful! I may just need a bottle in my life☺️💕

Love, love your perfumes❣️ I completely understand changing your preference. Never in a million years would I have thought I would love Clean Reserve Warm Cotton. It literally smells like clean laundry, but, I just love it for summer and layering ☺️ have you smelled much from Aerin? Idk if it's niche quality, but, I'm so in love with Tangerine Vanille 😍😍😍 and got a few samples...cedar & violet and Evening Rose. I just really like her perfumes. I've told you before, that your videos really helped expand my scent profile. I've grown beyond only dark & warm perfumes!! I'm wearing floral and fresh . Thank you for all of your hard work and amazing suggestions 🤗🥰❤️

Cloud is my absolute favorite celebrity fragrance. I'm about to be 35 this year, and have parted ways with all my celebrity fragrances. This one, however, I can not let go of. I wore it yesterday and it made me so so happy.

Incredible collection! Tuning in with iced coffee, obsessed with all your perfume vids. I feel like Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet deserves a spot here though, along with your summer freshies! Such a gorgeous mandarin peach peony scent - soft yes, but along the lines of your Jo Malones. I find layering it with Honeysuckle & Peach Spritz from B&BWs is a great combo that helps with the lasting power! Curious why it didn’t make the cut? Also curious on your opinion on the Acqua di Gioia line? And L’Imperatrice? I feel we share a similar nose so I’d imagine these are fruity freshies you’d enjoy!

Fun fact, vanilla beans come from the vanilla orchid plant, so they do exist! Used to grow one in my yard. Not sure how much the actual flowers are used in perfumery though.

Have my ☕ coffee and just starting your video!! I love your closet so much 😍 you have inspired me to declutter and become more of a minimalist. I have so much stuff in my apartment 😣 it's just me, my daughter is in college. Do I really need 4 sets of plates 🙄 (I don't even cook very often...I live alone) do I need 20 coffee mugs. The hardest thing will be things that hold sentimental value. But I imagine that it's going to be very freeing to let go of clutter. Doesn't matter how much it cost me, if I have to convince myself to keep it, I don't need it 🤗☺️ right? Thank you 💖💝 now back to the video

It’s true nothing feels as good as being fit. I never look cute at the gym though even though I spend so much money on my clothes I end up throwing a T-shirt on. Are you going to do the Tryon hauls on this channel? I love that stuff

I was on the fence between Poison Girl and Hypnotic Poison. Finally went with the stronger for this fall. What are your thoughts on the two? I have also picked up and put back good girl at Shoppers so many times. It is way better on the dry down tho.

It's crazy because I remember you talking about the juicy couture gold couture not being your favorite & you found it generic years ago! That really shows you how your scent taste does differ as you get older! I really enjoy your categories! I wish I could have a smaller collection, but there's so much perfumes that I love & want 😩😹 Have you tried the older formula of Guerlain Spiritueuse Double Vanille? A lot of people prefer the older batch than new! I have the older one! I think you'd definitely enjoy Angelique Noire as well 🤗

I didn’t care for Good Girl either, at least when testing it in stores. But something changed and now I like it. Didn’t buy a full bottle, but got the $15 mini stiletto at Sephora.

Thank you so much! I use either micellar water or an oil face cleaner, my current fave face cleanser is the palmers face oil cleanser it’s like $9 and lasts forever! No breakouts or issues and my skin is very happy.

Great choice:) In my opinion you can easily declutter cloud if you have baccarat rouge and also chance eau tendre edt...they are too similar

Maybe, at least from my perspective, having both would make me wear cloud on day to day, but having baccarat would make me want to save it for special occasions and not everyday wear because it would just be too precious to me

Have you tried Xerjoff K’Bridge? Or are you over Xerjoff fragrances? A lot of niche fragrances you tried in the past seem to have been decluttered.

I don’t think I would be comfortable with it either, though it is beautiful. I would knock over a bottle and shatter the whole thing. Plus reaching down to that bottom shelf would dissuade me from using them. 🤣

I love the opening to your video. It reminds me of watching Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood when I was a kid. I didn’t love the show, but I loved watching his daily routine ❤️ I love all of your videos :) I am in the medical field as well, and I find a lot of joy and “escape” from the harsh reality and beauty of life through discovering beautiful scents.

I’m with you on the original good girl. I definitely don’t hate or dislike it per se… but there’s just something about it that I can’t get on board with. Almost like there’s something in it that’s not smooth, I don’t know what it is, it’s hard to describe. But I can’t get rid of it either. I just picked it up to smell it again yesterday… and whatever is in it that repels me a little… is still there unfortunately. I’m thinking it might MAYBE be the almond because I HATE girl of now? But who knows, perfumes can be absolutely vexing at times. I do know I despise the bottle though. I have that and the red good girl… and they are without a doubt the most hated bottles in my collection from an aesthetic perspective.

Does anyone keep fragrances in their collection that they hardly ever reach for just because it's agreed in the beauty community that these are holy grail staples? I wouldn't want to acquire a perfume because of "peer pressure". For instance, yesterday I finally tried Nightfall Patchouli, and as yummy as it is, it's no longer unique because plenty of perfumes on the market (from both affordable and high end brands, specifically Layton which I own) have perfumes in their lineups that have very similar vibes.
