honestly watching your videos feels like coming home. i had an awful day and saw you uploaded and immediately felt this feeling of warmth, like i was being pulled into a hug and i just feel so happy and relaxed watching this. thank you for just brightening up my day a little :)
I'm a final year English student too and the stress surrounding postgrad plans is so real!! I hope you enjoy Small Island when you get to read it - I'm currently doing my dissertation on it!
Oh, I have several friends in accounting and they're literally going mad several times a year, especially in March because here that's the deadline for company's taxes... plus every country has different rules - HOWEVER - Australia has like a list of wanted professionals and accountants were very very high on the list last year and most likely that didn't change yet, so in case you really want to get into accounting and use it as a way to travel, Australia would be definitely easy destination.
We ordered those exact some hoops to dress up at the Olympic rings, they came in the same wrong colours and we ended up wrapping the black plastic packaging round the yellow hoop as the black one, it must have been the exact same company
ok but thank you so much for making all of these uni vlogs!! i’m looking to go to durham on exchange next year, and all of your videos have been so so helpful
hello just as a warning to fellow third years or anyone graduating next year, you may or may not feel like complete shit when you're done with uni and don't know what you wanna do with your life. it can literally feel like the worst thing in the world. i would suggest 'scheming' and adding things to your diary for when you've finished uni. i did some really fun stuff over the summer (just gone) however i'm now at a point where i'm only working part time because yikes turns out grad life is HARD and finding a Proper Job is HARD. no one warned me how much i'd struggle with this time so i just wanted to let you know that too. i doubt you'll (jack) have as much trouble as me because obvs you work online as well but just for anyone else !! i would say it gets better but i've got no idea yet lol. anyway cute vid x
This is the reality for many graduates, and it happened to me too, as far back as the 1990's. After a year, I finally got on a graduate scheme in libraries, so things do improve, but universities should provide more support for recent graduates, instead of cutting them adrift. The gap between expectation and reality was one of the worst times of my life.
Wow, I´ve never been this early... I feel so much pressure to say something funny lol. I can´t even comment "great video!" because I haven´t watched it yet. Hmm.
@Daniya Abraham But accounting is basically a business management qualification. So it is universal. The literal "accounting" is only a small part of the syllabus portion.
I doubt it. With his degree, he is very likely to take up a training contract of one of the Big Four. And we all know the Big Four only train their staff with ICAEW/ICAS.
I got up early today to do a full day of revision but woke up still drunk from last night, and that i feel really captures the essence of uni hahaha. (I don’t get it tho because I went to bed at 3 and got up at 8 so really thought I’d be fine)
