First, thank you for dropping everything and coming to my aid. I know that you had just gotten resettled in Paris and this was quite a disruption in your life. It was certainly a disruption in mine! The first time I watched this brought tears to my eyes. Hearing my plight from your point of view made me relive some of what I went through and how horrific it was. You make me sound stoic, but it was a very hard, life-changing decision that HAD to be made. My dabblings with Zen helped me accept what was happening to me with a minimum of tears and self pity. I still have trouble reconciling that this is forever, though... Even though I tried to make things easy on you, it was really your new insight on life that made it easier for both of us. I am proud of the changes you've made, the trials you've overcome, and that you're my daughter. Love you!
I love you! I don't think I made you sound stoic, from where I'm sitting I just reflected you back to you! It's just you're seeing the *same* situation from a different angle now: mine. You could have cried or protested or been angry or _anything_ more than what you did - which was so little - and it would have been justified, but here you are still today being as objective as possible through it, and not getting caught in the story. It's not easy and you're doing it so gracefully. I didn't realise you were trying to make things easier on me, though, and I appreciate that, though I would rather you didn't! Thank you for allowing me to be the presence in which we are both able to grow together 🙏💜
