I usually end up deleting my voice memos a week later when I listen back and they don't make any sense without context. Those things need to be dealt with same day I think.
I agree to some extent, although generally I find that if the musical idea is strong enough, then the context matters less, and I can still use it. I always try to title each voice memo with the context in which I heard the idea, which seems to help when I go back to it.
