VLOGMAS DAY 15| WHATS IN MY HOSPITAL BAG LABOR & DELIVERY !! 

The hospital usually provides the sanitary napkins, the baby formula, and they can even tell you if there are any breastfeeding classes for new moms in your area. The local Health Department also probably could tell you about those classes. As a new mom you will always do way more than you need or should because it’s your first time. That’s ok to be over prepared more so than under.

Hopefully by delivery she'll realize she doesn't need all that lmao 😂 it's cute but baby she'll know when it's that time. First time mom syndrome 🥰

Ok trying to vision what's in your labor & delivery bag! Clothes for the baby probably a comb brush items you're going to need etc. For real for real I really don't know but what I do know is I'm patiently waiting on this vlogmas 🎄🍷

Babies take a bath once their umbilical cord fall off . And NEVER take it off let it fall off… you can wipe the baby off but as far as in the tub/sink not till that cord fall off.

Congrats! ❤️Im a first time breastfeeding mom and I can for sure tell you that you are right about the baby not taking a bath. They take a bath from the nurse once they are born but after that you just give them wash ups until their umbilical cord completely falls off. Also yes you need nipple cream because they will be very sore in the beginning. DON’T put cabbage on your boobs because that will dry your milk up completely! That’s only when a mother isn’t going to breastfeed. I hope I could help a little!! I love you guys!!❤️❤️🤰🏽

It’s getting closer. Also just wanted to say they clean her up in the hospital and wash her hair and stuff. After she comes home you can wipe her down to clean her up but you’re not supposed to give first bath at home until the umbilical cord falls off. I’m so excited for you and quik. You already have a great motherly instinct that it’s all going to come so naturally for you.

Most hospitals have everything you and baby need! I’m going on my forth and I’m barely packing anything! Just a few outfits for baby. An outfit for me going home. Just a few diapers and wipes.. charger and my lil speaker! And that’s about it

Basically you just need too worry about the stuff YOU gonna WANT and NEED ! a cute comfy fit comfortable underwear maybe a robe 👘... chapstick charger. And stuff to go home in.. you don’t need much they will support you a lot .. I hope .. my hospital did. It was the best experience ever . Labor and birth was a piece of cake ! Good luck

the thing that helped me have both my babies natural is breathing and telling myself that the pain isn’t going to last forever. Just breath thru the contractions and relax your mind. It hurts like hell, but i really don’t fw needles at all

Girl I wear them always 💤 black depends on my cycles. Lol 😂 I swear I’ll never go back to bulky pads. Ain’t got to worry about the pad shifting, laying on no towels and etc.

Natural hair is always beautiful and have a safe delivery daysha you are going to be a great mother

You should put what she needs, her clothes, diapers, wipes, pacifier, etc in a diaper bag. Separate her things from you and Quicks things! Remember she has to BUILD HER IMMUNE SYSTEM, SO you don't want her clothes packed in the same bag as you all's, because of the different detergents you wash the clothes in. Duh! You also don't want to keep changing her often, especially during this winter time.....you have let her body get acculumated. Every delivery is DIFFERENT, so keep that in mind but huney, you DO NOT NEED that big ass suitcase Dasha. What you don't have, trust me, the hospital will PROVIDE. Put the baby 4/5 long sleeve onesies, socks, mittens and HATS, and small THIN blankets and ONE big blanket to cover her up in her BABY BAG. Of course her diapers and wipes as well. That's ALL SHES GOING TO NEED. If you're breastfeeding, you don't need to even pack a bottle for her, unless you are going to be pumping breast milk in the hospital, after you've given birth. I don't know too many mom's that does that. As far as you and what you will need, huney, depending on HOW your delivery goes, natural or an emergency c section.....you are going to be soooo tired and exhausted from the pain, the pushing, the restlessness etc,, chi youre NOT going to want to get out of that hospital bed UNTIL THE DAY YOU LEAVE. Nowadays, you're in the hospital TWO DAYS MAX, unless the baby has jaundice or any other lying conditions. But two days is the max. TRUST ME. You really NEED one or two SWEAT PANT SUITS....NOTHING TO TIGHT ON YOUR BELLY WHEN YOU LEAVE THE HOSPITAL, AND THATS IT. 2/3 PAIR OF UNDERWEAR, SOCKS AND THATS ITS. YOU DONT NEED TO PACK NO BABY TOWELS, BECAUSE YOURE NOT GOING TO HAVE TO GIVE HER ONE IN THE HOSPITAL. YEA, WIPE UNDER HER NECK ETC, BUT KEEP IN MIND THAT THOSE HOSPITALS BE COLD.........YOU HAVE TO LET THE BABY BUILD UP HER IMMUNE SYSTEM. A BATH SHOULDN'T EVEN BE CONSIDERED UNTIL AT LEAST THE SECOND OR THIRD WEEK. OR EVEN A MONTH. OF COURSE YOU WIPE UNDER HER NECK, ARMS, BOTTOM, ETC BUT NOT a FULL BATH OR IN A BABY TUB UNTIL A MONTH OLD. AS FAR AS QUICK, HE DONT NEED TONS OF SHIT. YALL AINT IN NO HOTEL NIE DASHA 🤣 TRUST ME, J'ream GONE BE GOOD. DONT GO IN THAT HOSPITAL LITERALLY LOOKING LIKE FIRST TIME PARENTS. YALL NEED One BABY BAG AND A DUFFLE BAG!

Just some motherly advice -Nipple cream is used for if your nipples are sore and/or cracked -postpartum panties are much more comfy than not shorts so I would get some of them. -bring your breast pump just in case your baby doesn’t latch -you’re not going to be worried about your legs being ashy bc you’ll be in too much pain to be concerned of your looks -Labor&Delivery rooms have heat & it’s controllable so it’s not cold like everywhere else(bc baby will be in the room) -the pads at the hospital are bigger than the ones you have lol -diapers are your best bet instead of pads I’m due with my 3rd in April Goodluck! P.S get the epidural

You should get some depends, when I say they were the absolute best during my 6 weeks and especially in the hospital because the pads get messy and it's just way to much but with the depends(even though they're for older people) it is so convenient and you will deal with less mess and its easy to change and they are very comfortable. you can wear your draws over it if you desire or some shorts but girl, THEY ARE YOUR BEST FRIEND! WAY BETTER THEN PADS

You should’ve got the women postpartum diapersssss the hospital has them but when you’re home they’re way comfortable than a pad. I didn’t watch the video fully through yet but yea get those

Bring you something comfortable and cute to come home in. I didn’t come home in maternity jeans because it was too uncomfortable. I had some really, but cute sweatpants. Basically, breathable and loose fitting to come home in was the best.

The epidural ain’t bad I’m a first time mom I had my daughter December 16th 2021 it wasn’t bad at all but you might change your mind after you feel them contractions because they are the worst !! I wasn’t going get it either but when I hit 8 cm the contractions got so bad I had to get it

When are you going to the hospital and can you video everything for your tt family

I over packed too my first time nobody could not tell me nothing lol I am a mom of 9 with each of them I still kinda overpacked but not like the first. The hospital has classes you can take. They also will provide a pump or you can just bring your own they will give u everything you need and again bring your own too if you don’t like what they may give you. Also since you don’t like the blood situation the peri bottle will be ur best friend you fill it with water and wash all it away before u put on ur next pad or brief. And make sure u bring hats for baby to keep her little head warm and about bath u can wipe her down like a wash up but they will give her a good bath after she come out then just again wash her up with a little warm rag so she doesn’t break out make sure u use a very gentle soap I liked the dove baby bar and shea moisture baby products peace n light

Yes take the breast pump. You get super full in between feedings sometimes. Pumping it out will help and then you can store it in their fridges.

Dnt forget her swaddle blankets the thin ones that keep them wrapped tight

Have you thought about joining a new mom support group? You have a lot of questions and things you are unsure of and that will help. Also if your hospital does a tour that is a good way to find out what you really need for delivery and what they allow.

No that's not dumb about the baby bath thing some babies do have to wait for a bath I think because of health issues but even then they just get washed down with wipes.

Did you get a nursing tank top? I got mine at target and I’m so glad I did. It’s a tank top that has snaps that make it really easy to breastfeed without having to pull your shirt up.

They make pads bigger then that bcus I use them and they're the best their comfortable and will last u a whole day,your the energy is everything and too much uneeded things in that bag

Just in case you do want the epidural if you can’t take the pain after a while make sure to let them know u might or might not get it because after you get to a certain cm they can’t give it to you

They clean your baby after a few hours but I didn’t bathe both my boys for a week too just to keep there skin soft but little wipe downs may be necessary

Girl u definitely gonna need those big pads 😂 but u can put them in the freezer to or put some kind of ice packs down there for the swelling

That pain was so unbearable I’m so scared of any needle but that was the less fear on my mind I was so thankful for that epidural it worked for me different from everyone else and I don’t have back pain
