Yes when I washed mines the water was brown 🤮😷 on top if that the shedding was ridiculous and the breakage by the trash was very noticeable

Thank you so much love! You can have the headband start at the front of your hairline covering the roots of your locs and it would still look nice! Even if you use a little edge control if you want to push it back some, I think it would still look great!

Ok so did the Velcro on yours secure it properly bc my head is the size of the cap but yet the headband was too big that I had to tie it to have it feel secure 🤷🏽‍♀️

When you wet it do you use another product as well? I use a mousse or wrap lotion as well as water and it doesn’t puff at all. I haven’t noticed any shedding except a one inch curl piece that came out from the back. Make sure to contact customer support!

@@sheiscapri I use a wrap lotion. I think the wig I received was used. When I washed it the water turned a dark brown color and it had a foul odor to it. I have emailed them and have gotten no response.

16 but this wig definitely ended up getting matted and tangled so I wouldn’t recommend.

I very rarely use the combs in the back of my headband wigs and they still stay put! There's a velcro band in the back that's adjustable. There are also wig grips that can be purchased to help!

Oh no! Mine was even more beautiful after the washes. Did you condition the wig as well? You may be using a shampoo with a lot of sulfates which causes it to dry out. In my most recent unboxing video I'm wearing this wig!

@@sheiscapri I used herbal essence ,the 1st couple of times, and it did well. Then around the 3rd wash, is when it started matting. So I purchased silicon shampoo and conditioner. I let it sit conditioned for about 2 days. It still didn't help. The only thing that I did right before the 3rd wash was flat iron it using a heat protector spray. I washed it the next day because it was too big straight. It went down hill from there.

I have 3 headband wigs from them... don't like that they give the same 5 headbands with each unit, but my wet and wavy lasted a good week.. yes, i know how to take care of it... money wasted on that one... there's a RU-vid video of a lady showing exactly what happened to mines.. if you see the reviews on her channel, I'm thinking it was a bad batch, but what some are saying it's mixed with synthetic... but as for the other wigs... I love them.. want another wet and wavy

It's definitely my go-to these days! Especially with not having to braid down my hair to wear it!

With proper shampooing and conditioning of the hair I haven't experienced any matting. I also make sure to keep a wrap foam or mousse applied after wetting it because when it dries out it may cause matting as with any wet hair.

@@sheiscapri Hi there, I purchased a Wet and Wavy but the instructions that came in the box says do not shampoo it. It said only use conditioner when washing because it strips the natural oils of the human hair. But you've washed yours with good results? Because if so, I want to wash mine.

@@EmpathyAbounds I would definitely recommend co-washing over shampooing. I shampooed it once but with very little shampoo and it had Argan oil in it and it was fine. The key to keeping the curls fresh is wetting it with conditioner then adding mousse and using a denman brush from root to ends. Let it dry and the curls are beautiful

Yeah after some time it's definitely matting up for me on the nape. Not liking that especially if it's "human hair". Pretty for a month or 2 of wear but not long term. 😢

I do notice that in natural light it gives off a brown color! If you need to, it can be dyed since it is human hair.

Good luck! I bought the headband wig, and it turned out to be awful after about 3 washes. I tried silicon shampoo & conditioner, herbal essence shampoo & conditioner. I used virgin coconut oil and Hawaiian silky 14 in 1 .It tangles so bad ,it's literally like you're wearing a brillo pad . My daughter has the u-part wig from them, and the quality of that hair is superb. I don't know what's going on with that wet and wavy headband wig , but I wouldn't buy it again if they sold it for 99 cents. They need to discontinue that wig ASAP.

The 16 is gorgeous! Can be put into a ponytail and lots of styles!

I haven’t experienced a crazy amount of shedding but a couple days ago when I wore it there were like 2 short curly pieces I noticed on the floor that I wasn’t sure where it came from! I would definitely contact customer service because they’re really good in that department when it comes to helping with order issues!

It is starting to dry out just a bit but I always bring it back to life with a co-wash and immediately brush mousse through with a denman brush and let it sit for bit before throwing her on.

Just water. But I would suggest water mixed with a little conditioner.

I would say about 6-8 months if you wear one on a consistent basis (switching up the style) and with great upkeep. Much longer if you only wear a specific one here and there!
