Oh, Melissa. My mama heart is hugging yours. By the music you chose, I think I know that bittersweet feeling you must be struggling with- of cherishing this time with Christian still in the nest, knowing that time is moving too fast, but also knowing he is destined for great things as an adult. The golf video of Sam and Christian had me all in my feels. This video was a reminder to us all, to make the most of every moment. 🛶. I’m a KC girl living in Dallas now. I went to Branson two weeks ago with my daughter-in-law and granddaughter, when you mentioned getting dinner from Thai Thai Cuisine I nearly fell out of my chair, we got ice cream right next door. How funny that I knew right where a place you mentioned is located. That is such a beautiful area, especially with that glorious fall color painting the hillside.

My husband and kids went to home goods today and my 9 year old son said “mommy I can wrap myself in these blankets because they are so cozy and eat all the candy when the store closes”😂 my daughter who’s 8 says “but that’s a sin, you can’t seal candy you better ask Jesus to forgive you for saying that 😂 oh how I’ll miss these moments when they are so innocent and silly. Then my daughter started crying because she remembered when she did something she wasn’t supposed to and she was asking for forgiveness. It took some time to explain that God knows our hearts and we ask for forgiveness but we can’t repeat the mistake again. I enjoyed your video. One day you’ll look back on these memories. I wish they stop growing up so fast 🥰 I know your mama heart is filled with all sorts of emotions right now as Christian is about to graduate and move on to college. I bet Chloe will have a hard time when her big brother leaves. I feel for you ❤ 🛳️
