Broadcom is changing the licensing of VMware, going from licenses you own to licenses you rent.
And,, they want a lot more money,,,,,, Please.
This is a problem from a business point of view. At the moment, if VMware want to make an insane price increase, your business can just keep running an the Lic. that you bought. If you now approves to be converted to renting your VMware. You now do not have much of an option. If the rent of your important software goes to ridiculous, you might not be able to run your VM's (Depending on how Broadcom will or may luck down the usages of their new product)
