Downloading VMware Workstation Pro feels like embarking on an epic quest in a video game. Seriously, when free software for personal use needs a full RU-vid video tutorial, you know something's off. Windows Hyper-V works just fine for me. No thanks, VMware. And I bet they'll bombard you with deals and promos to upgrade with tons of ads. Watching this video, even though the host tries to be serious, it's almost a joke how many clicks and hoops you have to jump through to download the software. Sometimes, even big corporations show us how not to do things. This video is a blueprint for how not to set up a download link.

I like that they still have a Linux executable. I know there's been talk about the company restructuring issues , but I think for most home end users they don't care much as long as the product is still good .

they actually simplified the process (slightly). yes you still have to sign up for an account but when you go back and put in your login information, it will direct you straight to the download page. I f you are downloading for personal use it will no longer bring up the license number page either.

They replaced the file now, 1.) I downloaded VMware for personal use (for Windows) using this method by dashboard to search 2.) and also through the VMware blogpost method but after installing and opening the software they both just give me the option to type the license key or to have a 30-day free trial.

*NOTE* sometime when you try to download it you will be redirected to page saying "invalid order id" just try a few times to download it will eventually start the download!

How do I enable vtx in VMware? It's enabled on my desktop but not possible to use when I create VMs

So im stuck at the download part. I type in my address, city, postal code...click submit, it works that loading stuff for a few seconds, brings me back to the previous page where if i click on download it just asks me to do it again. I've been writing this stuff 10 times already...
