Question: can you adjust VNT turbo actuators like normal turbos? From what I see, it's just the same and I don't understand why it would not be; the vanes are simply doing the job of a waste-gate better than a waste-gate but it's the same principle, yes? i want to ask you something: when you apply vacuum, the rod is retracted to maximum position = vanes closed..when release vacuum, WHO moves rod back? where is that spring ? (i can hear a squeak) in interior of vanes or in actuator ? who pushes rod back ?
Marius Negrean It's likely the vacuum/pressure working both ways, a spring would be too fragile and prone to corrosion, sticking and wear from the heat and filth. There was no spring on the VW one that I had sitting on my table for six months...that I remember.

Можно, но не на всех двс туда есть нормальный доступ через верх. Есть двс где он расположен у верхней части. Я на 1.9 ALH регулировал через верх, но проще с ямы.
