Constant Repeat is an absolute all-time Charli song, her, Noonie Bao and Lotus IV are an unstoppable combination. experimental Charli is obviously iconic, but she doesn't need the insane production to make a killer pop song, and this album is full of them. p.s. be sure to check out Sorry if I Hurt You from the deluxe! ty for the reaction, hope the ticking in your ear goes away :)

I agree with you 100% this is her best era. This whole album is the perfect mix of experimental and ‘commercial’ sounds. More than any artist recently I think she has cultivated such a beautiful discography.

LOVE that u noticed Noonie Bao in the writing credits! She co-wrote a lot of Charli's best songs, as well as Run Away With Me by Carly Rae Jepsen, Dance To This by Troye Sivan and tons more. She's also the vocalist on Avicii's I Could Be The One, but they didn't credit her unfortunately :( but yeah, she's brilliant! u should check out her songs Up N Down (with Danny L Harle) and Monopoly (with Easyfun)

What's interesting about this album is finding out what other people's fav tracks are of which some are the literal opposite of mine! Makes me appreciate Charli more seeing how she's been trying so hard to explore and satisfy her fans' tastes throughout her discography. Even as someone who just started adoring her right after Vroom Vroom EP and her experimental era, I still enjoyed this album.

That was a great Charli album, that’s for sure. And you should definitely listen to Pang, by Caroline Polachek, I think you’ll love it! Also, I’m very curious to see you react to Rosalia’s Motomami (and to El Mal Querer if you’re not yet familiar with her sound). I know it’s in Spanish, but it’s so good it’s almost a religious experience to listen to, you won’t regret it!!

the car at the end of crash intro is a pun because her fan favorite unreleased song 'Taxi' starts with that sound of a car screech, and the first words on New Shapes are 'WHAT U WANT - 𝅘𝅥𝅮 - 𝅘𝅥𝅮- I AIN'T GOT IT'

I ABSOLUTELY ADORE THIS ALBUM!!! Lightning is my least favorite BUT I just saw Charli at the Greek in LA on Sunday (still screaming ngl 😱😱😱😱) and Lightning was the opening song and it was so goddamn amazing that I’m like “well I guess I love all the songs now”. Lol. If I haaaddd to pick, my top 5 would be Baby, New Shapes, Good Ones, Yuck, and Beg For You. I love how much you love Christine and if you could do a reaction to her short film La Vita Nuova (a companion to her 2020 EP of the same name) I think I would die. The first song is People I’ve Been Sad, which I know you’ve heard, but the other 6 are so so good and the visual storytelling in the film makes it one of the best things I’ve ever seen. Thanks again for such a great reaction! 💙💙

Could I get your assessment of a young talent, Angelina Jordan. Angelina grew up listening to classical jazz and is a child prodigy with prefect pitch. Although jazz is at her core, she's not contained by that genre, singing pieces by Elton John, Whitney Houston, and Queen. Yet, she makes every piece her own while still capturing the original performance. This is a girl that started singing at 1 1/2, and then, as a 7 year old, entered Norway's Got Talent, and won. Just after her 9th birthday, Angelina arranged, directed, and performed "I Put a Spell on You" (Screamin' Jay Hawkins, 1956. Some of the vocal gymnastics she was capable at age 9, I haven't heard since, making this rendition a unique masterpiece.
