I don't know if you know this but this song is about Demi's biological father, she lost him few years ago, Demi had a hard time growing up with him because he was alcohol addict and Demi has always paid tribute to him by having at least one song in each of her album. Out of all the songs, this and for the love of the daughter are my absolute favorites They are tear-jerkers. You should check it out.

Amazing singing & emotions! Just now hearing this song & I'm now crying quietly so I don't wake my guy as this is something I swear he wrote! Kudos to every single person who's gone thru this w/ 1 or both parents. I've been blessed to have not only given my guy a chance but lucky enough 2 B the one he chose to trust, show his hurt & yes his love to. He spends everyday proving to himself mainly that he's not his "father" (or "mother") & will never hurt those he loves like his "father" did. I dislike them but yet thankful they had him cause I've never been more loved, respected, adored & wanted than I've been the past 4+ yrs & going.

I always thought the higher you sing the shorter your vocal chords become, that’s why can always train and succeed in going higher, but you can’t make them longer, thus your not able to go lower than the physiology of your body allows you.

I have such a prejudice against that vocal fry sound; it is so overused today. I cannot help but have a reaction to it. I really don't hear it in Adele's singing; or maybe she just uses it more judiciously. Some trends need to just die

WolfGuy I am not taking away from Demi's talent ; but this is a relatively recent trend in singing (I am 58) and it is just something that was not used previously and for what ever reason i just do not like the sound if it; I am not trying to take away from Demi's talent but I cannot help the fact that I hate that sound 😂its just a pet peeve of mine. Yes many recent singers do it but previous ones did not
