The fact is Apink is already 13yrs and from 2nd gen kpop. Their had so many songs this only a few hit songs. even on their b-side track also they had so many genre. 🥰 This uniqueness makes us still love them till today.

Apink is a legendary group. None of them have a weak vocals. Everyone are talented singers. And then there's Eunji. The designated belter. The talented soloist with a genius musical mind and perfect pitch. Also famous as one of the best singer of her generation. While Bomi, Chorong, Namjoo and Hayoung are amazingly good, but Eunji is the Gianis, Luka, Lionel Messi of Apink. No one in Korea would ever see Apink are just a pretty face. Not when Eunji around.

Wow im so excited to see your reaction. Quick introduction: From your cover picture the woman in the left is yoon bomi next to her is kim namjo. In the middle is park chorong(the leader of the group) and in my opinion she has the softest voice in kpop by the way. The woman in right is jung eunji which is one of the best vocallists in kpop for sure And the woman next to eunji is oh hayoung which doesn't look like maknae but she's the maknae They debuted in 2011 so they are 2nd gen group

Funny how you noticed that Chorong may have a rapper position. At debut, Chorong was assigned the role of rapper and leader being the oldest. Apink doesn't rely a lot on rap, but when the raps do happen, it's usually Chorong with the support of one other member, Namjoo, Hayoung, etc. singing a short verse. She's more of a sub vocal and adds a lot to Apink's style of music.

Usually, from what I know about Apink, their order of vocalists goes like this (from Main Vocal - Lead Vocal - Vocal) Eunji (belty girl) --> Bomi (white dress) --> Namjoo (husky denim) --> Hayoung (deeper nasal tone) --> Chorong (center, leader, soft airy tone) Bomi and Eunji share the chorus in most of their songs!

It’s so overwhelming when someone recognized Bomi voice. It’s so special, it’s so pretty and strong. All Apink members have their own uniqueness. They have developed their skills all the way~~ (10 years 😭) love them so much Thank you for reacting ❤

YASSSS FINALLY SOMEONE RECOGNIZING APINK'S AMAZING VOCAL

If you're interested in more of Eunji (the one on the right whose belts you really liked), she's actually been on Lee Mujin Service recently to promote their comeback! Most of the members also have solo careers and two of them are in a duet. The duet consists of Chorong (the one in the middle with the more airy voice) and Bomi (your favourite singer on the left) with their song Copycat, a more playful song. There's also Hayoung (the tall one in black who you said sounded really good in her deeper register) who released Don't Make Me Laugh, a cutesy song (the company pushed her to do a cute concept since she's the youngest when she wanted to do a more sexy concept so she mostly uses her upper register rather than her lower register); Namjoo (the one in all denim who you said has a more husky tone) who released Bird, a darker edm song. Eunji… has released the most solo music out of them, including very many OST songs so it'd get too long if I listed them all here but her most recent comeback was Journey For Myself, a remake of a rock song by the Korean band Buzz. The other members of Apink have sung a number of OSTs as well, both as a group and solo.

The girl who has a soft voice (Park chorong) she is the leader, and is the person who wrote the ballad songs that you like. Thanks for your reaction, Apink so so so talented you need to listen more .💗🐼

She's singing like she needs to save this planet.." 🤣🤣 It's a super funny comment, yet kind of true as well. She always sings like that. This powerhouse belter, Eunji, is known for her healing voice. I literally got healed by listening to her extraordinary singing during my worst separation process six years ago. Her voice just cuts through the heart and takes every emotions and sadness out. The healing went very fast. Since then, she's been my most fav singer and there hasn't been one day in my life goes by without listening to any of her songs. I have become addicted to her. I love her so much, and I wish her all the best and her group, Apink, as well. They are the best girl group ever..

I'm so glad to see Apink getting so much love! I think they're underestimated a lot because they have a girly/cute concept and some kpop fans don't take groups like that seriously. I think it's mostly because of Eunji being consistently amazing that people were forced to acknowledge their vocals. I love all the insights you gave on Bomi's singing (the one at the end with the brighter voice). Because she doesn't have a deep tone it seems people don't really appreciate how good she is. She's also main dancer and The Funny One. She's seriously hilarious. Eunji is one of the best vocalists in kpop, though her music isn't the sort to have lots of runs and power belting, it's relaxing folk/pop. "Hopefully Sky" is my personal fav, the lyrics are lovely. She's done Killing Voice solo and Lee Mujin Service (her cover of "It Was Love" sent me to a new plane of existence). You'd probably also really appreciate her cover of "Into the Unknown." It would be so interesting to hear an analysis of her technique in that one. Oh, and there's a clip of them on Running Man where they have to do a karaoke game and...well, you'll see lmao it's called "Apink - "Tears" by So Chan Whee [Running Man Ep 459]" and it's the most bizarre vocal flex I've ever seen. "Remember," "I'm So Sick" and "Dumhdurum" have really fun choreography, def worth checking out live performances. "Mr. Chu," "No no no," and "Luv" are iconic if you were into kpop during 2nd gen. It's physically impossible not to do the dance during the chorus for all three of them.

chorong the middle girl is indeed in charge of many rap parts in their songs (though there are not many songs have rap lol) The song you love (April 19) is the first song written by her for fans. The lyrics is so touching! You may check it out. ❤One of the reasons I love them is that they have very distinctive voices which make their songs really interesting

Apink and MAMAMOO vocals are really something

I know others have beat me to it (the panda fandom is always willing to help when it comes to our girls!) but I'll go ahead and sound like a broken record by introducing all the girls! Park Chorong (4:17) is the leader of the group, born in '91. She is considered a rapper for the group as well as a vocalist, and if you listen to her speak, her voice is just naturally that soft and light. She also writes the lyrics for their songs, including the fansongs they sang in this video, 'April 19th' (6:50) and 'The Wave' (25:25). She is considered the homebody of the group since she doesn't leave the house unless she has to 🥺 Yoon Bomi (25:30) is second eldest born in '93, and she is considered the main dancer as well as a lead vocalist for the group. She is super funny with quite a few appearances on variety shows, and is a third degree black belt in Taekwondo. Bomi actually has a naturally husky voice, but when she sings it tends to turn sweet! Jeong Eunji (can be Jung depending on how you translate it - 34:47) is also a '93 liner and is considered the face of the group as well as the main vocalist. Eunji is famous for being a phenomenal belter along with her ability to hit high notes effortlessly (even whistle tones) and has been continually praised for her vocal techniques. She actually wasn't planning on being a singer, but rather a vocal trainer which is probably why her technique is flawless. She's released 5 solo albums so far and has also acted in a number of dramas, being best known for her lead role in 'Reply 1997'. She is my favorite singer and I could go on and on but I'll control myself and leave it at that 😂 Kim Namjoo (34:08) is a '95 liner and is considered a lead vocalist, dancer and also a rapper for the group. On top of having a powerful voice that can match Eunji's, she truly is a phenomenal dancer! She's also released her own single 'Bird' which contrasts Apink's normal style quite a bit, but it's a great example to her versatility and it's such a banger of a song too! She started her own youtube channel also where she posts vlogs, mukbangs, and everything in between! Oh Hayoung (36:22) is the maknae of the group being a '96 liner. She's considered a rapper and a vocalist for the group. Like Eunji, she's also released her own single album entitled 'OH!' Hayoung has a generally small mouth shape that she keeps while singing and even when speaking so I think that adds to the uniqueness of her voice, and while I love her deeper tone better on the lower notes, she can still hit high notes easily! I have always wondered how much Eunji has contributed to the improvement of the group vocally over the past 12 years. I know some of the early recording session/making the mv clips show the members looking to her for approval when singing their parts. She had to play a great role in their development. It's just her nature.

I got into Apink recently and I gotta say I love how Eunji makes every high notes and belting sounds and seems so EASY, it's almost intimidating haha. I personally like Hayoung's voice tone haha.

Just an FYI…Chorong is best friends with Changsub from BTOB. Apink’s label used to be a sub label of Cube Entertainment (called ACube once upon a time many years ago) and BTOB trained with Apink (although Apink debuted 11 months before BTOB). Also, Apink started as a 7 member group, became a 6 member group in 2013 or so and then became a 5 member group last year when their vocal/rapper/visual (Naeun) left the group to pursue acting full time. Dumhdurum was Naeun’s last promotions with Apink but Dilemma (& their 10th anniversary album) is the last track(s) she sings in. This album was their first as a 5 member group.

Thank you so much for your technical explanations for Apink’s vocals. If you have time It’ll be nice to delve more on their discography. I especially love Apink’s ballad. Like you’ve said their harmonization’s comes out naturally nice. But seriously though, the groups vocal are really outstanding. Their choreographies isn’t really something over the top, but like you said they made it sound so easy to sing their song. But it’s truly hard haha! Jeong Eunji the one who do adlibs, harmonization n high note. She get add in Apink really last minute. One day their agency open audition to find Apink main vocal n Eunji's vocal teacher suggest her to join the audition n she success only with 1st try. She only train 2 month b4 debut as Apink main vocal. Btw, she also have cover frozen 2 ost, into the unknown with +3 key highest than original. Sorry with my bad English. 😅😅

One thing to note is that Apink has lost two members over time, Yookyung early on and Naeun more recently, bringing them down to 5 members. thank you for this video and for supporting APINK. they really have an amazing discography if you'll listen to their albums! they are known for the sweet and cute songs before but they have amazing vocals more than the bright and sweet voices. they also have ballads within their album and those are amazing as well. Hope that more people will support APINK cause they deserve it!

Fun fact: Eunji (the belter) was born in 1993 and a good friend of IU who was the same age. She even once invited IU to perform together on her solo concert. Both are talented singers, songwriters and actresses.

They are also excellent at singing live. Chorong uploaded the behind the scenes of Killing voice with just their pure vocals, and it is as heavenly as ever. Most people who only know a little about them seem to think Eunji (dark skirt on the end) is the only good vocalist in the group because she's so well known for being a powerhouse. I honestly think the whole group is so freaking solid so it's nice they're all getting attention. The girl you kept talking about in the white dress is Bomi and she's my bias in Apink. She's such a fantastic singer and dancer and such a ball of sunshine and silliness!

The big reason why Apink has good vocals is because they have an Inhouse Vocal Trainer & that's Eunji(the girl who does heavy belting that you love). She originally wanted to become a vocal trainer like you. But her vocal trainer that time persuaded her to try Apink Audition & she passed at just one try.

Highly recommended Eunji's(the vocalist on the far right in black) Lee Mujin Service and her solo Killing Voice. She's one of the best female vocalist in kpop and she's well respected by many artists in the industry.
