Thanks for validating what I have also been saying. Dimash is FEARLESSLY smashing the stereotypes...i.e. "you can't sing pop and opera", "Men shouldn't sing contralto...", "schooled vocalists can't sing pop"..." on and on and on, he is blending all areas into something entirely new and different, fresh and accessible. From that Opera (like) baratone to Maria Carey whoops and that unique "brassy " head voice, Dimash is opening our third eye to music no one has heard before and all we can do is sit in awe and listen again, and again, and again...

When I first saw Dimash on a Chinese talent show I was blown away, with such a voice, heartfelt emotion, charisma & stage presence, I just knew he will be famous all over the world....I am right !

Сам атеист,но если есть бог или аллах Я ему благодарен за то что я живу в одно время с этим человеком.Он просто разрывает душу на куски!!! Great reaction as always! I love listening to you analyze Dimash. I'd like to request another artist, but this time from Singer 2018. Hua Chen Yu's "Fake Monk". Hua Chen yu has a very different style and, like Dimash, is versatile when it comes to singing voice/colors/tone. While Dimash leans towards opera, keep in mind that Hua Chen Yu leans towards rock and rap (again, he can sing much more than that and has a beautiful opera tone when he wants to). Other than "Fake Monk", I would also recommend "Child", "Mountain and Sea", and "Wukong"

I have seen one of his videos in China when they were in the process of arranging a song, it appears that he wanted to incorporate folk song in a modern song, etc. in just a single song and to represent as many regions as possible and he calls it "INNOVATION".
