looking at Katrina slay this, you won't have an idea that she lost her husband last November and just came back from a break from. work and social media. such an admirable artist. her strength, resilience and professionalism is really something all artists should have. by the way, Katrina, they also sang this LIVE and I'm interested to see your reaction and analysis to that, too. there's also a video of their rehearsal for that performance and personally, i loved the rehearsal more than the actual performance. but that's just me. i would. love for you to give your take on it. thanks 😊😊😊

Oh I don’t know them personally, obviously, but I would be surprised if that happened…although many people would like it. I think the parts, who would sing what, would be more contested on both of their parts.

@@Woody-2837 they are both professional and experienced enough and both have exceptional musicality that a collaboration would most likely be amazing. Im confident they would find a way to blend their sounds and help each other shine. Have more faith! These are rare and prodigious talents.

That would definitely be awesome to finally see but that might never happen while Morissette is under her current label. Katrina has always been open to collaborative work but Morissette's handlers might not see it something beneficial to their talent. Perhaps they don't see anything to gain or they don't want to risk being upstaged, we can only guess. From Morissette's history, it seems they're only open to work with either same label or big artists of international fame. They seem more concerned about protecting their investment than artistic growth. Some even theorized that was exactly the reason why she was whisked away from the Kiel Alo event where she agreed to perform. If that was for John Legend or Ed Sheeran , I bet her entire management team will be dragging her to the stage

@@unfunnyfokka3379 Thanks for your insight. I had no proof, but I thought the hang up would come from Morissette’s corner. I listened to her cover of “I Surrender” albeit it was by herself, and found it wanting, for lack of a better word. She’s got a great voice, but we’ll see how she ends up in a few years. Sometimes when you relinquish control sad things can happen.

I didnt know. I saw their vlog I think (?) with their little kiddo and they looked so happy. I am so sorry about her loss :(

@@Katriinka Very sad. They just got married last May 2021. Mike Shapiro, the late husband, died months after last Nov 2021. She's been on a hiatus since. But I believe thru this Kat will even be a more connected singer. The song fits so much to what she's going thru. 😢
