lol. My first reaction to Morissette was exactly the same as yours! I'm from the US! I found her a little over a year ago and I've been a massive fan since! Every time I think I've seen all her performances (there's hundreds on here) I see something I've never seen before. Her versatility is astounding. The best is that besides recordings from an album and a few singles, it's all 100% live! At 21 I see the best still ahead!

I reacted to this the other day and was blown away. I picked up on the operatic sound. It shows the huge benefit of vocal lessons and how they teach you to get the space to open the resonance up to such a wonderful tone. Her high notes almost carried overtones with them. It was incredible.

first time i heard her, i was wondering why her high notes are so special, her high notes doesn't change in dynamics that means you can expect much higher notes from her because it doesn't sound strain , now you just said it's like her voice doesn't have a limit in it's range,, yeah that's what i've been thinking about, you just said it in one sentence.

I too am a vocal coach (a classical voice graduate), and i am a huge fan of Morissette because she satisfies both my ordinary (she’s usually eargasmic especially live), and my trained ears (the vocal mechanics shes shows off in her singing is really MINDBLOWING). I think you will love her (with her intentional vocal squeaks, whistle tones, healthy and vibrating power belts, her outrageous air/breathing support, rich low notes, and just solid beautiful vocal timbre) both as a technical singer, and her vocal artistry. She had so many amazing covers already (feasted by so many YT reactors). But I highly recommend for your 2ND reaction of her to check out her ORIGINAL SONG - it’s in Filipino (but it won’t make a difference because it’s astounding - the music will connect you to her), but you can TURN ON THE “CC” feature for captions.
