Its not about talent. Its the IT factor. There are plenty of stars that are not great singers. I mean they can sing but do not have the range or dynamics of Mori. Its just that the greater volume of crowd/people of the world connect with their songs/music/charm more. Mori need someone powerful to push her to the limelight. David Foster maybe?

Vocal ability is the least that matters...Deymn. 😅 For me, the world has been misled, BRAINWASHED and Blinded: that singing is the same with being intone, crooning, chanting, humming tunes, and warbling; that vocals and vocaloids are synonymous; that it's just an ordinary SKILL, can be acquired like on online RPG's; that it's no longer a God-given gift or talent; that with training, technology and hardwork, everybody can truly be singers; and lastly that plastic surgery has become one of the important charismatic "IT Factor" for it than voice quality. The world has this notion/concept that Singers/Vocalists don't need to have that vocal "IT Factor" as long as you have the "FACE", can dance well and entertain people via various media platforms, has become the new standards.They have confused Ancient Singing with dancing, acting, comedy and pageantry. Because they have studied the anatomic and physics of singing, they are instant experts of the field. Look at the number of vocal coaches and instructors scattered online and everywhere. People now think having an awesome expensive Microphone, a laptop and some tutorials over some audio softwares, they can be Singing Superstars. Most of those Fabricated Superstars out there can only just croon and can only wishfully wished to have Ms. Mori's IT FACTOR; think they're DIVAS/singers/vocalists; without the MIC and the support crew, its all mediocrity. All of this stupidity was firstly concieved & achieved by the giant US and Japan Media conglomerates and just recently this past decades practiced by the Koreans. Look at how the world worships Kpop 😅. The world has embraced LIVE! autotuned Performances saying it was awesome singing. The world has been mesmerized by the metallic sounding, no emotional value, heavily-corrected studio releases. The world has loved and accepted mediocre and technologically-laden vocal performances as the new standards. The world has forgotten what is genuine singing. The world no longer knows what Ancient Singing is. It is a lost art. And it has been archived. That's why supertalented artists like Ms. Mori no longer matters. People's worldviews toward Singing has become IDIOTIC. Well, that's just my 10 cents. 😅😅😅

They started with getting that boost from big sponsors but that's in the past. Now they can dictate what they want and the whole world agrees with them. They are no one's puppet. And I would dare say that Mori has better vocals than them. But Mori is not a Global Star like them. Now there are rare cases that the whole world loves them immediately without that big boost like Billie Eilish that just uploaded her song on sound cloud for free. But that's the culmination of brilliant song writing, singer charisma and maybe right timing or luck. And she and her brother just continue to churn out their original songs and sound.

@@chattcedric6321 No doubt there's many great Filipino singers " morrissett amon " " katrina valarda " and my own favourite Filipino singer " gigi de lana." the list is long .but there's also many non Filipino singers who are great singers/ artists who have performed covers brilliantly . David foster was asked " what does it take for a Filipino artist to make it big once again on the world stage " he replied " they have to be unique, you can't copy you have to be original . Filipinos are very good at copying, it's very difficult to be unique but it will happen trust me " . ( by original I believe he means successful original songs and having your own individual direction / identity/ being a unique artist not just a unique singer who performs covers .)

@@aileenagulan6664 My point is to be a successful worldwide artist you need more than a great voice , imo you need to have your own individual style / direction and successful original songs , to be as different as possible as unique as possible . Morissette is a great singer but what is her direction and style is she a musical theatre performer or a pop star or content to perform diva songs . I'm well aware of her original songs but until she has successful originals that connect to the world audience she will never be a worldwide star unless she is aiming to be a singer of diva songs or a musical theatre performer , time will tell .

Side note, Mori was only scheduled to sing 3 nights and she ended up being there for the whole 5 or 6-day concert.

I think it's the other way around. She wasn't scheduled to sing for 3 dates. Her schedule was March 21, 22, 24, 25 8pm and 26 8pm.

After i heard Mori version before McPhee I found Mori has a strong will controlled vocals and volumes like strong confidence. ❤️🙏🏻

guys Katherine McPhee is a great singer... even if shes not much of a powerhouse she is capable of hitting high notes too. even if Im a filipino we dont need to hate and compare just to show our love for one singer

There's a lot more to singing than just belting. Morissette's vocals here were beautiful - so well-placed, utilizing the different registrations of her voice and moving between them seamlessly, all wrapped up in her trademark resonant, rich sound. As much as I respect Jake and his legacy, imo Morissette is the more polished, elegant singer. Her technique is better, and I prefer her belting as well. Also, learning how to duet with someone is something all young singers learn with time and experience. When you have such a stellar instrument like Morissette, it can take some time to figure out how to sing without accidentally overshadowing your partner. And imo she has mastered that now. Just check out her more recent duets with Regine and Gigi.
