I love this performance, because I loved that she wasn't trying to be the cool celebrity. She wasn't afraid to have this intimate moment that was just about family, and giving a nod to who she was and who she grew up as in who raised her. It didn't matter what celebrities were there, this was her moment to be true to herself and her dad.
Her dad swam through the raging Rio Grande to reunite with Camila and her mom in the United States. Seeing where she is now after they left Cuba and then Mexico, I'm sure he is super proud.
First time, I cried for the atmosphere of whole performance. Second time, I cried for the melody. Third time, I cried for the lyrics of this song. Now, I cry again. Because this performance makes me recall my dad!

💔💔 My father & I aren’t close whatsoever. We barely ever talk, I live with my grandma. I’ll never know what this feels like ☹️🥺 & when I was 8, my mother committed suicide while I was at school. I never ever had or ever will have that father/daughter or mother/daughter relationship... I’m so envious of every girl who does! Especially when they take those bonds for granted. I feel so empty not having what every child needs - loving parents 😞😢😭 The very people that brought me into this world, aren’t even in mine. Be extremely grateful for what you have!!!
