Yes, its a blessing to listen to him.. a gift.. he touches us deeply, so special... our beloved genius master of all voices and hearts at work... :-) Love to all DEARS!!!!!!
This song is a pearl of the French songbook is a Canadian-French cyberpunk-rock opera written in 1976 by Michel Berger (French) and with lyrics by Luc Plamondon (Canada) and was immortalized in the voices of Daniel Balavoine and Diane Dufresne. The theme of the song is depression and the desire for suicide and, in this 2021 version, Dimash faithfully and brilliantly presents a sentimental and melancholic interpretation! As the singing decisions follow the original structure of the song to show the psychological instability of the distressed character: From the chest voice to the head voice and then the falsetto, the author aimed to show a broad need to overcome a long of despair and need to reach a very high perspective! Dimash, currently in his concerts, dedicates this song to his friends and acquaintances who departed this world!
Yes!! Amazing reaction!! This is the song that started it all for most of us!!! Dimash has music in his heart, mind, body and soul!!! Love this song, love Dimash!!❤️💐🎼🎤
Thank you Nina! I really enjoy that you comment on the arrangments as well as the vocals. This video is from Dimash Digital Concert he released in january 2021. Several more videos on his channel and even more songs to come, brilliant versions... SOS is such an emotional song and normally sung by more rockvocals (since it is from the rockopera Starmania) but Dimash really makes it so vulnerable and yes, It gets to me every time. Please note that Dimash postponed concerts from 2019 in Düsseldorf, Germany and Prague, the Check Republic will take place in april 2022. Düsseldorf will be my 4th soloconcert with Dimash and it absolutely worth the effort of travelling abroad for it! 3 hours of shear happiness! To explore more of Dimash's lower register check out Stranger but also you should watch Ulisse with Dimash and Aida from the same event as Ti Amo Cosi. ❤ from 🇸🇪!
This is my favorite version of SOS. I also hear the music first. If it doesn’t catch me I don’t bother with the words. In the song Know, I loved the melody but didn’t know what the song was about. So I looked it up. But it was the melody that hooked me. This doesn’t always bring tears to my eyes, but this performance does. I think Dimash “speaking” the words, “Why do I live, Why so I die” just hits my heart. Love your comments.
Thank you, Nina, for inviting us to witness/share your admiration for Dimash. His Dears often speak of their gratitude for being alive in the "era of Dimash". It is an honour to sit among those who hold him in such admiration and respect. Greetings from Indiana, USA.
Dr. Kudaibergen. About to receive his Doctorate in Music, a PhD in Musicology, major in composition. Until now, with the exception of The Singer competition, all of his performances have been carefully scheduled around his studies. He's coming out of that box, roaring !!
How can he already be about to recieve a Phd and doctorate, when he just barely did his masters thesis in mid 2020? Typically a phd takes 3 years and several more years for a doctorate
That was a wonderful reaction and a very good reactor That's why I subscribed here. This song was mind blowing... Kindly react to "NEVER ENOUGH(The Greatest Showman)" by 4TH IMPACT.
The first five or so times I heard this song from I am singer, I was surprised how I didn`t seem to feel the emotions I knew I should have, based on hearing and understanding how deep this song is and how emotionally connected Dimash was to the meaning of the song. After some time I realized, that the reason I didn`t connect to it right away was, the perfection I was listening. People aren`t perfect. We weren`t meant to be and yet, everything I was hearing was just perfect. I`ve cried a hundred times listening to this song since those first couple of times. But at first it wasn`t there. He was too good. That has never happened before.
Songs without their associated lyrics are like watching a Picasso without the colour! Specially for Dimash with his incredible EQ who chooses his songs very specifically FOR THEIR LYRICS.
I love your analysis Nina, you really understand all the elements of the music, and that's amazing. This song is so beautiful and melancholy, I love it. Thank you for bringing our Prince Dimash to your channel once again.Hugs from Brazil!
Hola Nina! Creo que ningún DEAR ha olvidado la primera vez que escuchó SOS por primera vez, es tan impactante! Y verlo que cada día es mejor, me parece increíble! Gracias por tu reacción! ❤️🌹🇲🇽❤️❤️🇲🇽
His Ave Maria is vocalise in A. It's unraveling, it's short so let it play through and let it wash over you. Then discuss. The end note is exquisite. Quite possibly the most beautiful thing I've ever heard. Bring tissues and have some time after to gather yourself. 😊
Nina, Every day Dimash is perfected and I thought it was impossible. His vocal technique has been exponential since 2017 on The Singer To date. His presence on stage is amazing and he continues to surprise us all. And yes, his humility and his sensitivity remain intact. Greetings from a Mexican Dear!....👏🏻🇲🇽❤️🇰🇿
When you mentioned strings the whole thing sounds like a passage from comfortably numb. His other new release, Stranger, has all his voices plus two lines in D3 full volume and succinct enunciation.
Nina, besides the beauty of the song and what it is about, the song launched Dimash's career, early 2017 on the Chinese Singer show, it holds a deeper meaning and sadness for him.
Hi new subscriber in the house!,Thanks for your Great reaction. I think you must react to this 4th Impact "Leave the Door Open" by Bruno Mars, Anderson .Paak, Silk Sonic Have luck to your Channel.
Now that he's finishing his long education, DIMASHALI, his production company is pulling out all the stops !! Long in strategic planning, he's hitting the ground running. His Dad runs daily operations and the former foremost music producer in Eurasia.
Dear Nina, every time I listen to this song, I cry, because Dimash, performing SOS, moves me. I give you my most sincere congratulations, because are more beautiful than an angel. I send many lovely kisses and hugs from sardinia island (Italy) 😊😊 Please, forgive me, if my english isn't good
Nina, SOS is a song about depression and thoughts of suicide. We are seeing our full-blown adult Dimash totally take this in and pour it out on us so that we understand. Is the ending a final resolution or a, sleep on it thought? That is left up to the listener.
I get what you're saying, but if you listen to the original and then this rendition, there might be a difference in reaction. Much love to Daniel Balavoine...!
@@cloudsmith7803 Daniel was a beloved interpreter and a sad loss to his listeners. The wonderful thing about music is the listener gets to fill in the colors of their mind. Questioning our existence is joyful and sad. Purpose is important to our being.
@@cloudsmith7803 Wow. She is fantastic. What a voice! This is the one I was talking about: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fSK-xi4qmDw.html
When I first heard DIMASH sing SOS I said there's no way he can get better but to tell you the truth I could hear him sing this song and never get tired of listening to him. Please Nina react to the newer and different version of the song SCREAMING which he'll blow your mind like he always does.
Nina, you're one of the first reactors I started watching after discovering Dimash last year, so I feel like we went on the journey of discovery together..it's been quite a ride! You're still a favorite! Thank you for sharing your reactions to this remarkable artist!
When I first heard this song by Dimash, I didn't know this song at all, and I paly and play whole week, after that I dig the original , and now I am a dear, I watch him everyday for last two years , I really like his voice and his performance, and so happy to see him keep improving his art, love your reaction, thanks.
I believe I read this had special meaning to Dimash for a friend that used his music in an Olympic skating routine before he was murdered a few years ago
I subscribed to you after the first SOS. Dimash introduced me to you. Your reactions are simply delightful. They are informative and appreciative. Thank you and keep up the great work, Nina.
Thank you, Nina for your reactions. I am learning a lot 🙏. This version of SOS feels so much more emotional than the version he sang during the Singer. Every time I hear him, time stands still. What a privilege.
Magnificent performance. Such an amazing voice. Loving every second of this song. It is always the music first for me too. Thank you so much 😊 for your great analysis and review. Much appreciated.
For me it’s music first too and yes then I want to know the lyrics. But to be honest Dimash could sing the phone book and I would love it. I guess even the phone book he could sing full with emotions. From a video this rendition of SOS touches me most but there is the SOS he sang on his concert in Riga (only fan cam available) which is killing me.
Hello beautiful Nina.. nice to see u react to Dimash again.. what a great and epic vocal performance by the Great Singer and Performer in the world right now.. very informative and sincere reaction from u too as always.. cheers girl! 🤗🥰 #WeAllDimashified
Music first...BUT-- then the lyrics and because DIMASH is choosing songs from different genres, cultures and languages I like understanding the historical context for the song, if there is one. It gives the song a richness and depth, especially when DIMASH is brought in to the mix.🎼🇰🇿👽💕
This is now Dimash’s song. Forever. This is so emotional. He’s put a few out from the digital concert. He just did SCREAMING In Beijing. Thank you for promoting Dimash 👑 vocal king
Hi Nina, I always enjoy your reactions please react to Diana Akudinova’s brand new cover of Elvis is classic, I can’t help falling in love with you. You cannot go to your grave without reacting to this incredible song she is 18 now and her voice is even more deeper and she has improved her higher range but the arrangement is epic nothing like you’ve ever heard that song before.
Hello , I don't know what Dimash did with this version, with this interpretation of S.O.S. But he impressed me, he made me cry, it came to me differently than the first time. I think there is more emotion, more dedication, and that the environment, gave him that magic that complements him - Dimash only surpasses himself.
Great analysis from someone who has the professional expertise to be able to clearly explain what DImash is doing every step of the way. It's good to see a self respecting artist provide a respectful analysis and not simply sigh and moan about 'alien talent'. 😉👋
Thanks for this Dimash reaction, Nina. You asked an interesting question about the interplay, even the competition, between musical and lyrical attraction, and for me, this equation has always been rather straightforward : I am generally attracted by music but held only by lyrics. There are exceptions, Dimash often being one of them, as I find his work in one or more genres I don't normally follow nonetheless riveting because it's so masterfully done. Like you, I also greatly enjoy his improving virtuosity, as over the years, in addition to adding a whole new lower octave to his performative range, he's gotten so used to some of his stunning musical phrases that he's now adding trills and melismas to them, making them even more stunning. Again, thanks for this reaction. Cheers.
Hi NINa I still remeber some years ago when you saw this song for the first time you still a very pretty woman good reaction you noticed the BASS line good point , I heard your new song you are so talented we loved . Big KISS from PARIS.
Music first for me, too. I listen to 2005 and 2009 live performances by Akina Nakamori, a Japanese singer. I don't understand what she says and it doesn't matter. The music and the instrument of her voice are perfectly satisfying for me. Some of her songs have English subtitles. In that abundant spare time of yours (ha!), check out her 2009 live performance of Akujo to see what I mean. I enjoyed this video, Nina. Thank you for your thoughtful perspective.
Great reaction Nina, Dimash rendition of SOS is unique, he made it famous because of his voice and beautiful arrangements plus the genuine and deep emotion when he sings that is unbeatable. This song has an special place in my heart because with it I met Dimash and his enchanting and powerful healing energy!!
This song reminds him of the loss of his friend Denis Ten...an Olympic figure skater from Kazakhstan who used his version of SOS to skate...unfortunately the incredible young man was killed in a violent robbery. So yeah, it hurts him to sing it
I thought the 2017 performance was perfect. It turns out not. You can sing even more brilliantly. Here you can already feel the enormous weight of the experience. His abilities are just as endless as space. And the way he experiences each song will not be played by any famous actor. And no drug in the world has the same effect as Dimash.
Music first! This musically clueless reactor listened to it and suddenly said "I don't understand it but suddenly I feel very sad". I prefer not knowing the lyrics
