If I remember correctly they did this performance in school to show up to other students and to show them that glee club is fun and I think Rachel looked at that girl because she noticed that she started singing quietly with them, also Finn noticed that this boy started responding positively to their performance, so both of them may be potential candidates to join glee.

Yes, they were looking to recruit new members. I know that one character had left at the end of S01, so they needed another male. Finn was making eye contact with Sam because he saw Sam tapping his feet. Pretty much the same with Rachel with . . . uhm, can't remember the Filipina's character name.

If you listen to the acapella version of this song you'll hear that naya sings quite a bit it's hard to hear in the show performance though. I only wish they would have let her rap in this one because she kills all her rap performances (I Believe I Can Fly/Fly, Doo Wop, and Problem - Listen to the full studio version of Problem, the show's editing doesn't do Naya justice for her rapping)

As a Chris fan, it got really depressing after a while at how often his contributions were removed altogether. There are any number of songs you wouldn't even know he sang on if all you ever listened to was the episode version.

I love how your mind immediately jumped to "Finn is bi!" First of all, this happens before Telephone. And Rachel looked at the girl And Finn looked at the guy Because they are trying to recruit new members. The girl was silently singing along, and the guy was tapping the rythm with his foot.

This was a scouting effort at the beginning of season 2, so they were on the lookout for positive reactions to their performance - hence why you see Finn and Rachel reacting to various people. As for the layered mixing, I think that was a tribute or emulation of the original? Definitely a standout "that's too much" moment. Another one was during "Telephone" during the same episode - Lea's voice is almost electronic at points.

The person Rachel sings Telephone with (and looks at in this performance) is Sunshine Corazon played by Jake Zyrus (previously Charice Pempengco) who was one of the Philippine's biggest vocal stars when Glee was airing. Just an amazing voice and youtube went crazy over the live rendition of All By Myself with David Foster on piano. Sunshine sings it on Glee as well, but the live performance is so stunning. I would definitely recommend reacting to either the live or the Glee performance. Both are fantastic.

Telephone came after this song. The look Rachel gives Sunshine is because she noticed her singing along with them. As for Finn he gives Sam that look because he notices he’s enjoying their performance and they are performing this song so they can get new recruits for Glee club. As for Telephone while I love the song especially the ending as that always makes me laugh it is very much auto tuned. I mean you can really hear it in Lea’s voice.

They did this performance in their new school year i think and they needed more people so they can compete in a competition. So this was BEFORE telephone. Rachel (Lea) thought that one girl is interested in glee but then she discovered her amazing voice and they sang telephone and lea was jealous. And cory smiled because he saw the blonde guy (sam) tapping his foot and he thought he might be interested in singing and glee ^^

Before telephone was this song and then Rachel confronts her and realises she has an amazing voice and sends her to a crack house ..lol..I have a suggestion to listen to Kurt's songs as he is amazing and you haven't really listened to him.The blonde guy is Sam Finn noticed him tapping along and asks him to joing gleee .. This happended before Thelephone and the reason why Finn and Rachel looked at the other 2 is because the glee club were looking for new members and as leaders of the show/group they noticed their positive reaction to the performance.

Oh god, I wish! *me flashing back to when the show was on and the chaos that was the Gleek Tumblr shipping community.* (yes, I know Lea and Cory were together) Kurt/Finn will always be my number one ship and I wish it had come true. Btw, I'm a multi-shipper, I loved Klaine and yes I know and love the relation Kurt and Finn ended up having but season 1 and early season 2 there could have been something different.

This song was actually before telephone they did it so that they could recruit more members and Rachel saw that the girl was singing along. Later in the same episode I think the girl was singing with her earphones in the bathroom and Rachel heard her and joined and it ended up being kinda like a battle cause she is better than Rachel and she was threatened

Love the videos! You should listen to some Marc Martel. He sounds amazing with his covers of Bohemian rhapsody and killer queen, etc. I think you'll enjoy them as much as I do. Keep up the good work
