I think this is just supposed to be a cover of them singing it as Jordan and Gabrielle, not really as Evan and Zoe. On stage it’s completely different.

I hope so. Because he doesn’t really give me the Evan Hanson feel in this video (although his vocals are admittedly beautiful). He’s just too cool and sensual here. The commentary in this video reinforced and put into words what has bothered me about this performance in spite of the truly lovely singing.

@@FranciscanGypsy nah he performs all of the songs completely different on stage. He’s way more in character. You gotta watch the bootlegs. He’s really good. He’s in my top 3 or 4 evans. People are still gonna say he looks attractive regardless though, but that ain’t something he can control😂.

@@zs_2390 I’ll have do to do that; thanks. If he can get into character while nailing the singing, that’s all that really matters. I figure even attractive guys can have crippling anxiety. If he can make us that audience feel his anxiety, I’ll be sold!

Yeah, the way he sings it in this video has a very different feel from how he sings it on stage! It's amazing both ways, but this is him singing much more like himself, rather than as Evan (if that makes sense)

I'm glad you pointed this out, because I LOVE Jordan and as amazing as I think he sounds here, I felt like it wasn't very Evan Hansen. Which surprised me because Jordan is such a great actor and I know he would get the character. I need to find videos of his performance on stage now!

Jordan Fisher is the best. He was in Grease Live which is where I became a fan of him, he has a solo in that which isn't in the og movie, he also played Mark in Rent Live, which was my fave thing about that live event. His high notes are just insane, so good ❤. After he did grease live, lin-manuel invited him to be apart of Moana and they sang you're welcome for the end credits song, you'll be shocked by his high note in that lol and then he played John Laurens and Philip Hamilton in 2016-2017 after Anthony Ramos ended his run in hamilton. So sad he couldn't finish his run as Evan since he was doing the show until broadway and the world got shut down 😭. He also has a duet for the fireworks show at Disneyland, so good.

Jordan Fisher is amazing. His music he's brought out this past year is amazing🥰 His performance in grease live was everything. So upset he didn't get to finish his run of DEH thanks covid.

This scene on stage is very different than here, should def check that one out. Ben and laura dreyfuss did a performance of this song on the today show which kinda gives you a glimpse of how they do this scene and song on stage. It's very emotional and perfection 🤧 Ps: jordan has almost his entire left arm with tattoos including a hamilton tattoo after he did hamilton lol

yea he explained on his twitch channel that every tattoo he has is from something important that he is grateful that's happened in his life because he grew up in a awful place where he had nothing and was bullied constantly people telling him can't make it so he said he would prove them wrong

Can you please do a video on a song from Beetlejuice? The singing styles are very interesting, especially for Beetlejuice (Alex Brightman) and Lydia (Sophia Anne Caruso). It would be particularly interesting to see you do Say My Name, Dead Mom or Home!

Watching this again a couple months later and I’m still sad that she didn’t get to experience Jordan in character as Evan. Hopefully she gets to experience it now that they’re opening the show up again.

Jordan Fisher > Ben Platt (There is a sound in Ben's version that I really don't like. I can't describe it, I'm missing the vocabulary). But Jordan sounds flawless. Definitely one of the most talented singers of our time

I haven’t used any of the cheat sheets yet but I love watching your videos and the way you describe what people are doing with their voices is super helpful! Also, I think that Jordan Fisher was in a production of Frozen (the musical) as Kristoff. It might’ve been someone else but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
