I love that in Slump there are four different singers using head voice/falsetto. They all have a different color and style, and they use each type to its best advantage. They are not trying to force everyone to sound similar, instead they are taking advantages of the natural differences to enhance the overall dynamics of the song. I'm so glad you caught that, I've seen others picking out one type and saying "Well, this is the best/my favorite" with the obvious implication that the others are not as well done. I disagree so much with that approach, because it shuts out those of us who don't have whichever type of voice fits that person's taste. It is so important for your voice and for life in general, to accept the color and tone that comes naturally and work to use it the best way possible. What I love about Stray Kids is that they put this into practice, audibly and visibly, over and over in so many of their songs. They take advantage of their differences in voice, personality, style, everything, and use those differences artistically to make their work stand out. Thank you for recognizing that and pointing it out.
The fact that Bang Chan made us listening some songs with tuning and without is impressive because he said he adds tuning to make the voices clean only to make their songs approved but then take it off because they like it natural which I find perfect.
hate to break it to you but this is false. Autotune is different than tuning. Bangchan says he loves using autotune because he thinks it sounds cool. MANY of their songs use autotune, but it's just enough to sound more like background noise than anything else. What you are talking about is tuning, tuning is what artists uses to clean up vocals which is why i can see Chan taking the tunning off after approval. Autotune is that robotic/techno filter added to the vocals, you can really hear the autotun filter in the live version of drive by chan and lee know.
yeah, there's autotune on their mic don't worry 🤭 Stays also know . The original song style is using autotune therefore they use it too in live singing 👍✨ they also sings two more songs on The First Take and their mic aren't autotuned for those songs
If you’re up to listening to more Stray Kids, the “Secret Secret” video with the blue background is one of their best vocal performances. The member who starts that song is the one who wrote it.
Yeah there's autotune on all of their mics during this one take, since the song itself uses autotune to create a certain sound (not to fix their vocals). either way, autotune only does so much. You can still hear their amazing vocals come through it! Thanks for reacting to this song, it's my fav skz song :-)
Pretty sure most of them had a little bit of autotune in the mic here but on the other songs they performed at the first take they didn’t, you should check those out, they are better in my opinion.

I remember that when it first came out, people were discussing whether it has autotune or not. Especially because some members have voices that make it very hard to tell the difference. But the discussion died down very quickly since SKZ are known to like using autotune for stylistic reasons and the vocals can be heard pretty clearly here compared to the MV (the MV version has heavy use of autotune for stylistic choice). We got 2 different version of this song; so, it's a win for the fans anyways. [(I get what you mean it as a compliment when mentioning autotune). Just clarifying it anyways.] The Fist Take does allow vocal effects like autotune (I'm assuming this because I vaguely remember one performance that very clearly had autotune, and the performer mentioned liking using autotune for stylistic reasons). But definitely not for correction purposes, because the purpose of the First Take is to do it on the first take regardless of how it went.
I love these videos soo much because as a person who lives at a place where everyone hates kpop with a passion it feels nice to kinda share the excitement i get when listening to stray kids. It makes me feel like i'm showing a friend something that i love so i wanted to thank you for these videos

i think skz does have a bit of autotune in that mic i think because the actual song does too but bang chan (the leader/producer of the group) did say if they’re using autotune it’s to use it as an effect and not necessarily to make them “sound better”

I mean, coming from some people, when they say SKZ sounds like autotune with quite like a frown, they might actually think there's a possible autotune. But coming from YOU, I can already understand what were you trying to mean. So no worries. I'm not a fan, but this will always be my no. 1 fav song from them :)

Just an FYI this does have auto tune. But it's because that's the vibe of the song, especially for the rap parts they want that autotuned but still flowing voice. Their other first takes I think aren't autotuned. The actual song has that autotune too. Btw not hating just explaining why it sounds that way 💜💜
U don't have worry so much lol. Skz are one of the grps who are so open about using autotune. Stays also don't mind autotune. The original song has heavier autotune. So they may have wanted to put some for the performance. Skz are amazing live. They've 2 more performances which is more vocal focused and beautiful. U should react to them as well.
