I feel like Adele uses her voice breaking as an effect, to show vulnerability and pain, which is then contrasted by the confidence and control in her voice in the chorus/key change, its a device she uses in many songs

To me, Adele is just REAL in every way/how/what she sings!! She sings from the Heart and that's how she gets into our Hearts!

Nobody but nobody has tone in her voice like Adele. And it is that tone that reaches into your heart and touches you emotionally. Unique.

You are so right, Adele may not have the most octaves but she has a voice that is so amazing..so heavenly in my words, it makes me cry for no reason.

I once read a review of an Adele album that described her songs as songs that would be unremarkable if anyone else sung them. The instrument she's working with is honestly extraordinary. She doesn't have the world's biggest range, but the way she can articulate the feeling of a lyric is incredible. It's like she's singing directly to you.

The best part of Adele is that her normal voice is so north London that if you didn’t know her you would absolutely think she couldn’t sing, then she does that and you’re like oh, oh wow

The thing I love about Adele, there’s 1000 singers on RU-vid covering her songs, yet non of them come anywhere close to Adele,’s originals in any form, it’s a testament to the velvet uniqueness of Adele’s voice and personality, no one else can do it it quite like Adele. I remember watching a guy react to the surprise snippet of Hello they released before the official single and album (25) announcement, and the guy said” just the way she said “ I ain’t done -much heallling” , that’s the Adele magic that we love, and all of the thousands of people on RU-vid covering Hello, no one sang that lyric “ much healing “ like that, only Adele can do that!

I have noticed in a lot of songs by different artists that use that vocal rasp, or fry or growl, usually use it in a way that makes you feel the strife or pressure of what they are singing about and adds emotion to the song. I love when they do that.

Thank you for addressing that point. Technical freedom and imperfections are the gain of the listeners. They are the things that make a voice instantly recognisable, authentic and full of emotions. It’s the best feeling, being touched in the heart by emotions just by listening to a voice. When that happens imperfections don’t exist! Besides that, you have an amazing voice and I love seeing you instantly singing what you are trying to explain. It’s a joy to see you and doing what you do! Ps. Laura Fabian had a performance in Russia and gave us the best ever version of “Malade”. It’s a beautiful song, pure emotions and very very intense. I’m sure you will love it.
