Leave the door open actually did really well on the charts and had a lot of longevity and live performances. Its still doing well and has been predicted to win a grammy. You are right though that they deserve all the attention

I totally agree that Bruno's voice sounds more free. Much better than his earlier higher, tighter high notes. So much easier and more pleasant to listen to. You can say that his voice matured with age too.
@@Rafael-xt1nm I CACKLED at this response because I have seen Anderson live 4 times and NOT once did his vocal performance fall flat. His NPR Tiny Desk is just a testament to how great his live vocals are.

He's not referring to actual meat, it's a metaphor🤦🏽♀️. The "dude" is Phredley Bruno's band member and guitar player. Bruno is playing the CONGAS not Bongos😂. Like your comment about not even Jesus can sing higher than Bruno😂 No Andy can't sing higher than Bruno tho😂but yes their voices really do compliment each other. Their modern twist especially using the congas make this disco sound even richer and takes it to another level. Bruno has a 4-5 octave range. And he's able to go higher than that as well. His voice has gotten more powerful and richer. You're right he was holding himself back when he was younger. He's really tapping into his full range. His vocals are sick.

Bruno is a multi-instrumentalist and was introduced to bongos at a very young age because his father is a Latin percussionist. I saw a video of them playing together at one of Bruno’s concerts. I believe it was in Puerto Rico. Have you seen Bruno’s guitar playing in his Prince Tribute?
When he said better he means that when you smell BBQ you get hunger and you know your stomach starts to grumble and you want. That what he is saying when he says that the perfume smells better then BBQ. Meaning its much more attractive.

I think for Bruno, it's so easy to hit a C5 and D5 notes... It's like his comfort zone..he can go higher than that.. He is an incredible vocalist.. I can barely name another male vocalist rn who can actually sing like Bruno
Yet he never sang any phrase higher than D5. Which is ok, because his falsetto is kinda disconnected, so apart from vocalizes he never does any 5th octave stuff.
Is it just me? Bruno not only has a more full sound, but he sounds more in control and clear hitting that D5 than he did on previous songs and performances. I can't tell if he was just holding himself back then, or if he's just better trained now. 🤔

Micheal had just as big as a vocal range, he just choose to speak and sing in a lighter tone. Never wanting to reveal his "manhood" to the public as he wanted to keep up the childlike image to his fans.
The reason why this song exists is because bruno really want to play the congas and it started from there, he mentioned this during an apple interview.
