Suga himself has said that he has anxiety of big crowds. It had even prevented him from performing at one concert when they first began touring. He then found a way to enjoy the concerts. He said he realized that the big crowds at concerts were there to see him. So it made the anxiety tolerable. He still has issues with it til this day. He mentions it briefly in his solo song "the Last". When he gets super hyped, like in the documentary of "My Universe", he hollers out in order to release some of that access energy. I have so much respect for Suga and the others. Jimin is always so hard on himself. You are able to see it throughout all the docuseries that they do. Even if us ARMYS don't notice an error, he does.
The desert and sea metaphor is a theme that re-appears in BTS career, for example in the song called "Sea" (they even played it in an orchestral (?) version right after you pointed out this theme). It is mostly about trying to reach dreams you might find difficult or almost impossible to grasp, struggling along the way, being unsure if all your efforts are worth it, but not giving up on hope, and moving forward.
The desert is a symbolism of hardship... The struggle of the climb... The sea is usually a symbolism for abundance (success in contrast to the desert)... The particularity of the interpretation in Sea (song) is that they say that, desert and sea are actually the same thing.
The desert and sea metaphor actually comes from BTS lyrics. You can react to their song "Sea" for it. Actually almost everything that was said is based either on their lyrics or things they themselves have said before. And yeah Suga is a more lowkey dude in a group full of chaotically energetic dudes. This docu is kinda dramatic and doesn't show much of it, but the BTS boys really do have A LOT of fun and jokes around backstage.
BTS are just good people,that's why when you meet them for their music, then you want to know their personalities and there is no turning back there, that is why the fandom is so loyal, protective and huge, it is because once you meet them you just want to see them happy, see them well, they are so charismatic,unique, you do not see in them arrogance, jealousy, pride, that's why one feels that we must do the best for them and it is also something reciprocal, when they make a promise they fulfill it ,they try to be in contact with the Army's as much as possible and it is not something forced, in short they deserve the best and as an Army since 2014 I will continue to support them in everything I can, stay healthy and happy 💜💜💜

BTS are perfectionists that’s why they want only perfection for their ARMYs always. So when they make a mistake based on their own expectations and standard, it hurts and disappoints them the most! When BTS perform, they have great energy that goes higher and higher as their performance ends and it stays there as the ARMYs cheers for them non-stop! BTS are the greatest performers alive! BTS is the best! There’s nothing like BTS!
this documentary right here, i'm lost for words to describe it but it made me have a whole different view on them. i always loved and respected them as artists and performers, but after knowing all of this.. i admire them even more.
Back then they're big but not as big as now. If u watch latest break the silence the movie, ppl recognized jhope in his shade when he just walk around city in the states. Its amazing bow far they've come. Btw can't wait for the next part! You can put it a bit longer than this 🥲
I'm enjoying so much watching this all over again with you. This is actually a really good way to see everything that comes with this type of life, both good side and bad side of it.

I was at that concert in Australia, they haven’t been back since but it was legit the best night ever, they had just won their first ever BBMA too so the energy was incredible, all of us riding on a massive high. All the troubles they were having off stage, we couldn’t even tell, they’re incredible performers and people
What he played on the piano is something more or less all kids learn to play as it is so easy if they have a piano at home. Needs no training for that song. I learned it as a small kid and so did everyone I know.
I hate whoever made the decision to add that voice over. It cringes me. Very unfortunate because the docuseries version of this was so well produced and members themselves voiced their opinions. You should really check out bring the soul someday if you can. It is really like blue print of touring, it includes stadiums too and their thoughts about performances are really in depth. But ofc not the movie version
At this point, BTS is big in US but not as big as they are now. They can still roamed on the streets in US. Since the are bigger and literally everywhere in US, they don't hv the luxury and liberty to walk without being followed by paparazzi , luckily BTS bodyguards know how to deal with them. Their security management knows how to protect the boys.
Typically big acts won't go to NZ if they don't think they could get a large enough crowd to justify the cost... given it's one of the most isolated countries in the world. Army is big in NZ... but back then wasn't close to being big enough to fill more than a small arena.
