I have to say that I am surprised that you didn’t know who Placido Domingo was. He is a living legend of the opera world, was part of The Three Tenors (Pavarotti, Jose Carreras, Placido Domingo). I do appreciate your comments regarding Dimash, though. You are right! I read a lot of comments of people who listened to the classical piece for the first time only because Dimash sang it. Quite surprised you didn’t know who Maestro Domingo was. Back in the 90’s, he and the other two opera greats Lucianno Pavaroti and Jose Carreras , all lyrical tenors sang together as The Threee Tenors. This show is a yearly one to find and showcase young classical music talent and is called The Virtuosos Placido , after hearing about Dimash from his grandson, invited him to be on the jury. This duet was very impromptu, with one day of practice and Dimash with a nagging cough. This well known operatic duet , this was an excerpt, is one of the most demanding for tenors and is sung in French. Placido was singing the baritone part since he had said his top tenor notes are really not there any longer. He turned 83 shortly after this performance. Dimash will be 30 May 24th of this year. The Pearl Fisher’s opera was written by George Bizet and premiered in 1836. Remember, Dimash was classically trained and is singing that way even though it sounds “ operatic “. You can understand though why he was offered a position in Kazakhstan’s Astana Opera company right after he graduated music college. Glad he chose his own way in the music world, he bought.

This was a dream come true for Dimash. He shared that, at the age of 5, he had a VHC of a concert of Maestro Domingo and dreamed from then of meeting and working with him. I am sure Dimash appreciated the opportunity to support young classical artists by being a judge at the Virtuoso program at the invitation of Maestro Domingo. We Dears hope that all of Dimash's dreams come true and we will be here to support him.

Now when it comes to the words of a song it all depends who the artist is. If it’s Dimash I don’t care cause I’m looking for the passion and emotions that Dimash’s voice brings out of me, it doesn’t matter the language or the words, his voice, passion and his ways of singing just take over my emotions. I listen to Dimash every day, and cannot remember the words to any of his songs, except a few that stand out. Occasionally, the words will be big enough to read easily and stay on screen for longer durations, so I might pick up a bit there, but basically, the words do not matter unless he is vocalizing, and then they are not words....howzat !! His latest video, movie short, song as a vampire has some extremely exciting word runs that are so fast, vocally pronounced, and in melismas, that will enhance all that you have ever seen of him. I think it's called When I've Got You. You've probably guessed by now that I am ancient. Looking forward to seeing your reaction to that.........yea.

Dimash was classically trained from age 5. He was offered a job at the local opera house but he refused the job to sing what he calls neo-classical music. The most wonderful thing about Dimash is the respect he paid Placido by not out-singing him which Dimash could have done very easily. Placido found out about Dimash from his 18 year old grandson. He was so very happy to meet Dimash and Placido was the one who suggested singing a duet together! Think how proud his grandson is now that Placido sang with Dimash! 😊❤️

Such an incredible honor for Dimash to be invited by Maestro Placido to be a judge in the Virtuoso’s Competition of young Classical Musicians, Placido’s grandson found Dimash on RU-vid and shared him with his grandfather, Placido talked about them singing a duet right when they met.
