Salamat= thank you Musika= music The song talks about music bringing joy, beat, movement, fun, life and so much love. Thanking music for what it brings to people's lives.
Most of Filipino singers don't have tutors or have attended any tutorials. Most good voice Filipino singers are inborn. We just sang in any situation good or bad one way of how we express ourselves.😁
"Salamat, Salamat Musika" means "Thank you, Thank you Music" 😊 Can you please react to Katrina Velarde's cover to "Don't you worry bout a thing" I'm pretty sure you're gonna love it, especially her runs! and also her cute baby lol 🤣
She was little Cossette on the Asian tour or Les Miserables and recently as Matilda in the Manila production. Pls react to her singing english songs like her the voice kids audition and "somewhere" also from the voice. She was 8years old there.
and when she did Matilda, she sang every song in British accent. Also mentored by Lea Salonga (Tony award winning actress from Miss Saigon, Les miserables et etc and also now on broadway on "Once on this island. and did i say she's also a Disney Princess) that's how she got to join Les miserables cos Lea referred her to the producer of the show and coach Esang for her audition piece.
Rebecca, I suspect this little Filipina, came out of the womb singing, how else could she be this ... good? I think, I remember Miss Anya singing, in your student showcase video.
R.P. Rosen 😂 she's a proper vocal pocket rocket. Oh yes she sings alot and attends castings too. Anyas mums video recently went viral. Will link it. Downs syndrome kids on This morning. She's sitting next to the presenter , Phil. Anyas sister.
She auditioned for a contest for mini look-alike versions of famous celebrities, where she was the mini Lea Salonga. After that, she auditioned for The Voice of the Philippines in which Lea Salonga became her coach and it’s probably where her classical technique got polished. After the Voice, she’s turned to theatre and became one of the young Cosette in the international tour of Les Miserables. Her latest stint so far is being the lead of the Manila run of Matilda the Musical.
Wait...she already did an impersonation of Lea Salonga prior to The Voice Kids and recently she was in Your Face Sounds Familiar, impersonating Lea Salonga, again? Not that I really believed that those rolls they do on the show for the next performance are random...
You have to see Esang's audition on the Voice... and Lea Salonga's reaction!!! You will be fighting a compelling need to start devising plans for Esang's international abduction. Also, in the same vid, Esang displays a professionalism of rock and steel by not tripping up after Lea's incredibly distracting behaviour, this is Lea Salonga I'm speaking of. The one and only, Ms Saigon, Disney Queen and Princess all in one.
those kids were all finalists for the Voice competition. they each sang their own song. this happens to be what esang sang (pun intended). love how she sings with with so much feeling! the song is about how people love music (musika) and depend on it so much in so many aspects of life...from making a crying child be happy, letting people dance...EVERYTHING
Hello Rebecca think she’s 10 or 11 yrs old. Also, she was on the voice under the tutelage of Lea Salonga. She was part of the ensemble of Les Miserable Manila and Singapore production after her The Voice stint.
that kid's name is esang. she was a runner up in the philippine franchise of the voice kids. the reason why she sounds like that is because she was coached by none other than broadway star and tony award winner lea salonga. she also has done several musicals at her very young age including the singapore run/production of les miserables as little cosette. i believe she did annie too. not sure what she's been up to lately.
she pronounced the tagalog language so well. wow she's good. I've nerver heard of these kids singing. I'm a Filipina but lives here in the US for 11 years.
I love this little girl! She was only 8 when she joined the voice kids and came in third. She's made her theater debut as little cosette in the philippines and singapore run of les mis, had her very own sold-out concert, and has also recently played the lead in matilda. So much talent in that tiny body!!
Also, would love to see your reaction of her singing Home and Somewhere! Your daughter's adorable btw. It's really funny how she couldn't believe it was really her singing lol.
I think this video is 2 or 3 years old (at least two). The girl next to her is Sassa Dagdag and she’s now blossomed into a very beautiful young lady. You can react to Sassa’s covers of La Vie En Rose and The Show (by Lenka) both on the Wish Bus. She also performed with Zia and KZ on last year’s Wish Music Awards.
They start them young! Yay, you should react to kids more with your special guest, bet she sings well too!😊 All the kids in the video were from the voice, Esang was definitely one of my favourite❤
I love it when you have the kids help you out with the review. They bring so much enthusiasm and just make me grin from ear to ear. Good job everyone. Keep it up!
holy moly that kid's voice! Had to check if my laptop was okay and not messing with my audio 😂 AMAZING 😍 Great reaction Rebecca and I love the banter between you and Anya. She seems to be a RU-vid natural 😜
This is actually quite common in the Philippines and there are many kids younger than her sometimes. That's just natural raw talent. Not always with vocal help. That comes to help define their vocals if wanted help. Hope you watch more. You'll be surprised😄 and it is real. It's obvious. As a vocal teacher, you should tell at first look at her voice 😆
Hi Rebecca! Jhon Clyd Talili, a Filipino kid, sang Celine Dion's " I Surrender" outstandingly! He's like 7 years old. Pls do a reaction of his singing. I am sure your subscribers would love it. :)
Another good video 😍 I really enjoyed this a lot!! Thank u for this 😊💕 btw, Anya is so cute and pretty just like u ❤️ keep it up... Looking forward for the next video ☺️😊
Why do you have such cute vocal athletes, eh? :) Anyhoo, nope, Anya darling, that's really Esang singing since it was live radio. All the kids here (like the bigger girl beside her, Sassa) were all in The Voice Kids season 2. They were the top ones. Esang keeps getting better now that she's getting more theater training with Lea Salonga (who happened to be her The Voice coach) mentoring her. She recently played the lead role (well, she was one of three girls) of MATILDA. This song she sang is an old one, a late '70s or early '80s song, ergo, the old-school singing style. But what great vocals!!!
Hi Rebecca! To prove that she is really good, you can look at some videos of her singing in The Voice philippines 🇵🇭. Just search esang blind auditions of the voice. Thanks😊😊
she is so good and here mentor before in the voice kids Philippine is no other than miss Lea Salonga a former miss Sigon and miss Lea also sing one of the song in Mulan from Destiny channel
Hello miss rebecca pls react to marlisa punzalan video " Yesterday" in her 1st audition in x factor Australia. She have a wonderful and very unique voice.
Glory of Love never fails. It always perseveres, always hopes, always trusts, and always protects. Thank you very much for sharing. Glory and Dominion Be to the Lord of Hosts Most High Almighty Father Yah God Bless All...
Really love watching your reactions. Please react to HEAR MY PRAYER- HALLIE DAY, I SWEAR SHE'S REALLY REALLY GOOD AND I KNOW YOU'LL LOVE HER. Thanks in advance
I believe she was 8 or 9 yrs old when she sang this song on Wish with the other finalists of The Voice Kids Philippines. She was 8 yrs old when she competed in The Voice. She's 11 yrs old now and plays the lead role in a Broadway Musical.
No doubt of how she achieved that voice coz of proper coaching of Ms. Leah Salonga back in the day when Esang joined in The Voice. And the fact of how good is her coach back then
They were finalists in "The Voice Kids Philippines" 2015...... Telesa Marie Castillejo De Torres (born February 12, 2007), known as Esang De Torres, is a Filipina child singer and stage actress best known for portraying Lea Salonga's 'MiniMe' on ABS-CBN's It's Showtime,[1] and joining the second season of The Voice Kids Philippines, ultimately picking Lea Salonga as her coach.[2] At age 9, de Torres became the youngest artist to stage a major solo concert in the Philippines.[3] At that time she released her first solo album, Ako ay Kakanta."[4] In 2016, she had her professional musical theatre debut as Little Cosette in the Manila run of the musical Les Misérables.[5] De Torres played the same role in the musical's Singapore run.[6] In 2017, de Torres played her first lead role as Matilda in the Manila run of Broadway's Matilda the Musical. Other of her notable work is the release of the song entitled Awit Sa Marawi, composed by OPM hit-maker Vehnee Saturno, dedicated to the victims of Marawi siege. The music video has garnered praises and has 11 million views on RU-vid as of April 2018. She is currently a contestant on ABS-CBN's fourth season of Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids.
It is I Ricky again requesting you to react TNT Boys singing LISTEN by beyonce on LITTLE BIG SHOT in UK :) thanks !! hahaha and by the way I looove your intro 😁😍😍
those 4 kids are the top 4 (Finalist) in The Voice Kids PH. Elha Nympha won, she is the dark horse in that season. During the first part of the competition, she only has few supporters. But the moment she (Elha Nympha) sang "emotions" she became a crowd favorite. That result made me a little sad because I was rooting for Sassa or Esang. Hahahahaha
hehehe.. is she ur student? u should put an English sub if u react to Tagalog songs so u can understand.. but still it's good to know that u appreciate the singer even though u don't understand the lyrics.. enjoy what u do.. "PADAYON KANTA" means continue singing in my dialect hiligaynon.. Loved ur vid.. 😊
They were contestants of The Voice Kids Philippines. That song has great meaning, the title translated as "Thank You Music", hopefully someone uploaded a caption on this one.
Just a new comment on an old video. Cant help watching a few of your past reactions. Just a side note, i'm not sure if anyone already made a comment on it, but i just realized that this is your anthem in our national language. Basically, directly translated ref Salamat, salamat musika(Thank you, Thank you, Music) Lahat ng panahon(All of TIme), maaasahan ka (i can count on you) Salamat, salamat musika(Thank you, Thank you, Music), Itong munting mundo ay napapasigla (In this small world, you give joy/happiness). Its basically a song dedicated to giving thanks to music. Being there for the good times and the bad times. That even in the good times, music makes it better, and the bad times, lifts you up from your depression. Its a great song.
They were from The Voice Kids Philippines! 😊 The girl next to her is Sassa Dagdag and she sang If I Were A Boy, Halo, La Vie En Rose and The Show on that same radio show. I’d like to suggest you to react to her too. She did great 😁
Jumped on to the Rebecca Vocal Athlete train, and now I can't stop! In fact, I am finally revisiting my own voice after years of hibernation. So yeah, thanks for that ;). In any case, I was wondering if you haven't already been asked to react to KEALA SETTLE? (I get the feeling since you have already done a cover of her's, LOL, you may have already seen these in your spare time. However if you haven't...) She played the Bearded Lady in "The Greatest Showman", and is the voice behind "This Is Me." She has been a vocalist on stage for many years, and thanks to the movie, her voice is now echoing around the world. I think you would rather enjoy her and her spirit. There are two videos in question (feel free to incorporate both if you are interested)... The FIRST video really tugs at the heart just before lifting off. It shows footage of the project ("The Greatest Showman") being workshopped before it ever got green lit, and it's quite a moment watching Keala finally becoming one with the song for the first time. The video does most of the explaining so I will leave it at that. ;) The SECOND video is of her performance of the same song on the Graham Norton Show. Where the first video focuses on the song as it is birthed into identity, the second video will allow you to better hear Keala's individual voice and her evolved relationship to the song. I'd like to hear your professional opinion in breaking down her technique. (There is also a cute story later in the vid on how she was convince to do the movie.) Well I'll leave it at that and post the video links below. Once again thank you for your content, and I hope you will consider reacting to Keala Settle. I can't wait to see more! --Danny 1st Vid: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XLFEvHWD_NE.html 2nd Vid: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_BNRBgxiS2c.html
hey!!! thanks for the comment, I love her so much! : ) Album is on repeat in the house haahahah like so many. I am glad you are dusting off your voice. look forward to hearing you. I have seen the video with Hugh in, what VIBES!!! Loved it. ok will add to the list, thanks for the support xx
Her annunciation is so good and her facial scrunches are adorable. Did you see the change in her demeanor as soon as the music started. I think the other children are part of the same school of music. Same vocal coach maybe? Just a guess. She is very good. The way she is so precise with the way she says her words makes me think of theater training. I know that, that is a big deal for the stage. Did you catch the backing away from the mic for the last high, and loud, note? Your co-pilot is adorable. I think she wanted to sing. And from that playful bit she sounds as if she might be quite good. You should review some of your students if they want or if you think it would be fun. I do not know if that's feasible, or even a good thing. Maybe not, I just thought of a couple reasons why it wouldn't work so well. Never mind. Did I just type that out loud?
She was first known as mini Lea Salonga when she joined “MiniMe” in a noon time show herr in Ph which is “It’s Showtime”. She then joined The voice kids philippines and she ended as 1st runner up I think. Pls React to her the voice kids philippines audition. This is lit I promise
Salamat, salamat musika (Thank you, thank you music) Lahat ng panahon, maaasahan ka (Everytime, I can count on you) Salamat, salamat musika (Thank you, thank you music) Itong munting mundo ay napapasigla (You give life to this little world of ours)
Esang De Torres is beside Sassa Dagdag. All the four kids inside the bus are finalists in the recently concluded The Voice Kids in the year 2015 (??). Elha Nympha was declared the Grand Champion in that contest.
The girl beside Esang is Sassa she sang If I were a boy and it’s crazy good. The other girl is Elha she was invited in little big shots and sang chandelier and is a crazy good whistler and belter for her age. Btw Thanks for the amazing reaction video!!
Hi Rebecca. Great reaction! My wife Ana and I have 20 Grandchildren, but none of them has taken lessons on singing. Most of them are into games. Thanks for sharing your great TALENT, and have a great week!!!👍👍🎼😊.
Thanks Rebecca for your kind reply. Yes, 20! Ha, can you imagine?? We had 10 children, all boys except for Jackie. We lost one of our sons, Richard, over 3 years ago. But we know where he is and I believe he is very happy now. 🎚
