Everyone who knows him will tell you he has worked diligently on his English. Everything you hear is what he has produced on his own with few English speakers around him. "I'm not going to pick on him." and you did. Sounds we take for granted in English do not exist in Portuguese. We hear how he pronounces certain sounds but we also hear that outstanding voice and that's enough for us. English, he will learn but that voice is outstanding. Listen to "Stand up" on the rooftop with the choir and then you'll hear his growth.

Great reaction! However, this video is several years old. His recent releases show a marked improvement in his English pronunciation as well as an astonishing vocal evolution. Gabriel is currently considered to be one of the two greatest male vocalists in the world, along with Dimash Kudaibergen. He's also an incredible human being, humble, generous, loving....and a hard-core Christian. That last, in my opinion, is why the mainstream music industry has been slow to embrace him, despite his phenomenal talent. Lol! They had better get over that and start writing music for him because the Gospel world HAS taken notice and they have every intention of claiming this treasure. His recent collaboration with Natalie Grant on her "You Will Be Found" and his Gospel performances with orchestras in Washington and Romania bear this out. That would be a shame because EVERYONE deserves to hear his voice.

E quem liga para o sotaque dele ou dela se ambos são maravilhosos? Além do mais, essa versão cantada por Gabriel já tem mais de três anos ele nem sabia falar inglês. I understand few words in English and I would say that pronunciation is a difficulty for those who have NEVER HAD AN ENGLISH TEACHER. That's Gabriel, he never had an English teacher. I believe he achieved his goal in interpreting this immense classic, even though he had this problem with pronunciation. LITERALLY IRRELEVANT by the way.

Gabriel's voice is amazing. He is known as the whistle king in Brazil. He only speaks Portuguese but is learning English. He basically sings alot of the Diva singers like Whitney, Celine, Mariah because his father bought him their music starting at age 3 and he would immitate them.
