This is the first time actually typing a comment on a reaction video. I live in Tennessee USA and just heard this song for the first time. I'm a 57 year old man and still crying from the moving lyrics. I struggle with my own addictions and failures but needed this reminder that God still loves me because He is love.

Actually, this is not a new song. Gary wrote this song in the 1980s and from there it became one of the popular worship songs in the Philippines. He is a living miracle to God's amazing grace having battled diabetes (type 1), a bypass surgery and kidney cancer and still standing strong.

Take me out of the dark is Gary V's original composition. I first heard this when I was 17 years old. I turned 50 Last April 15 and I swear I'll never get tired listening to it. Praise God to the highest!.

He is an Icon here in the Philippines especially in Philippine Music or the Original Pilipino Music (OPM). He composed and sang that song 20 years ago and yeah, he is known as "Mr Pure Energy" here in my country. Now he revived that song to dedicate it to his countrymen and to the whole world in order to give us hope and light in this time of crisis we are facing, the Covid-19.

On year 2003 we had a class recolection in a missionary house, when a priest gave us a lecture about our dear lord, the priest start to put up a music, and it was TAKE ME OUT OF tHE DArK and warrior is a child, and after that all of us start cryin realizing the importance of believin and have faith to god.. It was sad and happy memories to reminice at this time

He is also diabetic so performing every night not just singing but with lots of dancing was really hard but he always give it his best. You may check his youtube channel to see his performances but one thing that has set him apart from many other stage performers is his love for singing praises- Take Me Out Of the Dark, Shout For Joy, Warrior Is A Child and Lift Up Your Hands among many other amazing worship songs.
