Let me tell you, one of the strangest and most disturbing moments in the entire series. However, I love the song and how cool Glee managed to make it!

Santana’s “I want to be dirty” gives me chills everytime I hear it! Such a small moment but it’s so good

Britt and Santana are not out yet during this episode. This episode is actually directly after the first glimpse the audience gets of them together as more than just friends.

Emma actually ends up having a handful of solos throughout the series (well, "handful" might be pushing it). She does a good job with "Not Getting Married Today".

Regarding your question about Santana and Brittany well Brittany doesn't hide the fact that she is Bisexual while Santana at this point in show is still in the closet even though she is privately hooking up with Brittany. Santana and Brittany are friends with benefits (it was basically implied they became close friends fast after joining the Cheerios and then started hooking up not that long after they became friends) but later in Season 2 into Season 3 Santana has a whole storyline arc about her struggling to come to terms with her sexuality. All these years later I have a love/hate relationship with this performance lol. I love that we got to hear Emma (Jayma Mays) sing because she didn't sing a lot on the show and also love the Santana and Brittany moments which was a nod to the interactions between Columbia and Magenta when this song is performed in The Rocky Horror Picture Show. But I hate how jealous and manipulative Mr. Schue is during the Rocky Horror Glee Show episode. He basically took the role of Rocky from Sam just so he could practice with Emma but had the musical gone forward with him as Rocky he would've been performing this song with Rachel (which would've been awkward).

Scary is if Will did the part he would have to do this song with Rachel.

People can hate this but i don't care. One of the best performances of the show and i stand by that. Jayma Mays doesnt sing so much in the show but everytime she sings se have great performances

fun fact but when jayma mays came to hollywood she actually played janet in a small production of rocky horror! and she also picked this song for her glee audition :)

oh boy when i first watched the series, i had to keep rewinding to this part at 5:45 to make sure i saw it right that he was fully stripped down but thank god I wasn't. It's just Emma's legs 🤣. I kinda blame my obsession for low brightness.

Fun fact… this was actually the song she auditioned with to be on the show. You can actually find the video here on RU-vid. In the video her voice was lower.

Another episode that is worth this type of song by song breakdown is The Quarterback, season 5, episode 3. The scenes and songs were mostly one take due to the grieving cast. Years later, I still watch the episode alone and not as part of season 5.

You should review the actual Rocky Horror Picture Show. The movie is (partly deliberately, partly from being filmed in two weeks for like no money) gloriously campy but the music to it is brilliant!

(Trivia: The scene in the OG film where Rocky is born in a fishtank, features the OG 8 stripe rainbow 🌈 flag before the community reduced it to 6 stripes. )

I gotta say, this song was probably my least favorite of episode. I got second hand embarrassment from watching it, and the dynamic between Will and Emma…felt awkward.
